Horses and fawn... aaah!!!
Well I have seen mature deer eating amongst grazing horses but I have
to admit... I've never seen a solo fawn do it!!
Wonder if the doe, the deer, the female deer, was mad at baby?

It's so cute! I thought, it is newborn, and went out there in the pasture with all the horses browsing, wanting to be with them too, and those are such lovely pics!

Too little to eat grass yet, but I don't think it was a REAL newborn.
The moms usually stay with them for a while after they're born.
What's funny is when the moms go out to eat, they usually leave the
fawns hidden somewhere in grass or underbrush, and that one
was right out in the open!

I wonder what that baby was thinking disobeying mom like that and not staying in hiding??
That baby looks pretty darn young to me, Val. I wouldn't guess it's more than a couple weeks at most.
The cool thing about newborn fawns? They have no scent, so they are harder for predators to locate.
