How dare you people send snow over to the British Isles. We here, woke up to a big chill and freezing conditions.

OMG, we were just starting our springtime, with the dawn chorus of birds singing to me at 06.00. You guy's ruined my breakfast.

Snow storms and blizzards are forecast across vast swathes of Britain and Ireland, with more of the same expected over the coming week.

How dare you.:-1

On a serious note, are you seeing a cooling effect in your area? You know, the whole global climate change thing everyone is talking about.

We had a super-mild winter. Sunny and bright today. About 10 degrees F above normal.

I am sitting here in the middle of the Sonoran desert ---- with rain water up to my ta-ta's, I've had only 2 sunny days in the last 12. My dawn birds are huddled under a saguaro cactus, afraid of being bombarded with huge rain drops or hail. To my west, California, is slowly being swallowed by the Pacific ocean, our eastern states are buried in snow, now turning into floods.

So, don't you dare blame me. Blame France. Blame Chirac. Blame the EU. Are they not the ones who declared it would be a cold day in hell before Bush, and Charic agreed about anything in Iraq?

The good news is that I will have a fantastic wild flower season.

Warm on ya. :-6

Not quite sure what you mean about a cooling effect, we are getting warmer temperatures and more rain the difference is quite noticeable over the last twenty years or so. If the gulf stream shifts or cools as has been suggested it might things might change dramatically

Had a few flurries today but blazing sunshine now. Actually I can only remember 3 or 4 really frosty mornings this winter.

You're supposed to have snow in Britain. That's where Oliver's mum died in the snow. Dickens wouldn't lie.

Now we need about 1 wk. of 70-80 deg F, expecting some of the more "conservative" cactus to bloom as well. If you like desert flora/fauna, http://www.miragemall.com/desertjpegs/imagesf.htm is a great source. :-6
