Alright, gang, let's just have a nice little thread filled to overflowing with

nice stuff for Chonsi to see when she gets back here. No telling what

the in-laws will be like so I think she could use some uplifting things,

:) Oh, how sweet!

I love you all!

They came an hour early, and stayed only 3 hours-and just left to go home. They seemed pretty happy and were nice to me, and my husband was happy to see his mother. I asked them to come back at the end of summer, they said maybe they will.

It was a good visit!:)

Chonsi:

The still gray quietness of the garden needs and yearns for the glow of your presence. You provide the kind, heartwarming feeling that many of the residence of this Garden come to rely on. You stand tall in the arena of life. We await your return. Please come back soon.

:) Oh JB, you're so sweet.

They only stayed 3 hours, I was happy with the visit. My husband smiled for his mother, that made me happy. I was glad they came, and hope they will return one day soon.

No, I asked them Nomad. They said if I drove him to their place, about 3 hours away, they might. My husband cannot travel in the car that long. His max time is 10-15 minutes, he isn't up to a long trip. (he will open the car door on the freeway while I am driving and stuff like that, when he is stressed too long in the car, he doesn't know any better. That is why I stopped his therapy last summer, it was a 30 minute drive, he couldn't take it-or me-to have such antics)

I will have to ask my friends from church to watch him, and call in the nurse too for some of the time maybe.

I really thought they would spend the night with us, and stay for 2 days. But I am glad they came, even if it was for a little while. They saw how he was, he was better then the nursing home they saw him in so long ago. I think they expected him to be up to talking for hours, but after a half hour he could only answer yes or no to their questions, it was alot of thinking for him to do. He is who he is now, slowly better in some ways, not in others.

It made me think though, I need to make a will up this summer. I would give custody of my husband to them, but I will rethink this through after today and talk to my pastor about it. It is something I have dragged on about, but should be done. My children would be so young to watch him, and they do alot of things already everyday for him and me. They have their own lives to live, it is one of those problems I must finally resolve. Or look for somewhere he could be, if I was no longer here, the children would at least check on him all the time. But I could not expect them to care fulltime for an invalid........................my deep thoughts of the problem.

I'm late as well chonsigirl but I did think about you today and wondered how the visit went. So glad to hear it was a complete success..:-4

Question would your husband be comfortable traveling in a van that would allow him to lay down and rest in?? You could rent on to get him to his parents house, or is just being in the car that get him anxious.??

Chonsi is one of those ladies - and she is certainly not unique in FG in this respect - that makes a man proud to act as a gentleman.
