Itty bitty Tivo!

Post by valerie »

So, okay... we had a Stage 2 power alert for a lot of the day today.

Not supposed to use appliances, etc. do whatever you can to conserve.

We're on board with that. But, I kinda wanted to watch updates and

weather report on TV. Quelle dilemma. Scratch head a bit. Use the 27

inch tv? Nope, for one thing it's upstairs and really hot. Okay... scratch

head a bit more... AHA!! I'll dig out the 7 inch tv I got (all of 22 years

ago!!) to put in the bathroom so nobody misses anything during Super

Bowl parties, stuff like that. Can't be PC while firing up the 73 incher.

So, drag out little tv, place on coffee table, hook up cable, VOILA we're

watchin' tv with a LOT less wattage. Hmmmm... it's just not the same.

No Tivo, to which I have become addicted. All that pause and rollback,

dontcha know. So, the resident genius (generally goes by the appellation

SWEETIE) figures out how to hook up the Tivo and we're set. It is

soooo CUTE it's unbelievable. Makes you want to go cootchie coo or

something.

Itty bitty Tivo, it's a gas!!

ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

Tivo is definatly addicting..do not know how we lived without it.

We have a smal black and white TV that runs on about 8 D cell batteries. We used it last year when we had a power failure.

Rick wants to buy one of those TV/lantern combos with the rechargeable battery to have during times like this.
