I didn't go to any proms in high school. I hated my school and the snobby rich brats that went there. So, no photos for BR!! :o

It would be cool to see everyone elses, though!!

I'm not married I'm afraid, though I could dig out some photo's of me with me old girlfriends from somewhere but then I would have to scan them in, and I don't have a scanner (its not cause I never had any girlfriends, honest, no really I did I did!) Your wedding pics are great, I love the 60's one, I'm gona have a pyschedelic backdrop put into the local cathedral for my one now, damn the expense, I'll marry some rich bloke's daughter, I'll just lie and say I'm a property developer or something, its not important I can make it up as I go along). Snooze, ahhh, your so pretty with them doe eyes, he's not a bad looking guy, though the hair's a bit dodgy and those crazy mens tuxes were never great, but they are kinda cool too in a strange way. Weddings now are so boring and ponderous, don't know what its like in the states, but people in Ireland have lost the run of themselves, its all done like a victorian melodrama now, god be with the old days when you were sure of a big feed, a lot of drink (which you can still get but its all premier cru, imported asian beer, and amretto-based flipping cocktails,) the best bit was always the punch-up at the end of the night between the happy in-laws, usually conducted in jig time to the accompanyment of a celli band. Ah well.

Actually I did nearly get married once to an american girl (honest now), but it was just a green card trip coz she wanted to stay in europe and I wanted to go to the states, and my english girlfriend was gonna marry my future wife's real boyfriend (stay with me here it all makes sense) who was also american, so in turn he could also get an EU passport and live with Mei Ling (my pseudo-wife) here in Europe (we were all living in London at the time) and me and Rowan (his pseudo-wife, my real girlfriend) could go to America, we thought it was a good plan, but unfortunatly we all sobered up too quickly before we could get it done (shame we could have gone on one of those mentalist talk shows where everyone starts beating everyone else up) Happy days.

Oh Snoozie that's so cute!! You're not hijacking my thread... come on,

everybody, show yours!!

BR, that was the GUY'S Senior Ball, I didn't go to any of MY dances

either. But Mom talked me into this one, 'cause the guy's family was

wealthy and Mom was sure pushin' for a match!! We went in a

Lincoln Continental with the "suicide" doors... that open backwards.

Snooze where did you go to dinner? Tell us more!!

Galbally, that really did make sense to me, but then I watch a lot of Jerry Springer. ;)

I'm glad you understand snooze, though ye were doing prom photos and I was thinking of weddings, my prom (or debs ball as its called here) was great as I somehow persueded a real good looking girl to go, I mean really good looking, and when I was 17 I wasn't exactly brad pitt. Of course I only got a kiss, but she was really sweet and I got through it ok, god I remember how nerve racking all that was, its nice thinking about it now. Now I'm not saying we were angels or anything, and not that innocent really, but it is definetly different now, even though I'm only going back about 15 years, kids are the same as always, but it must be even more intimidating for them as there is a lot more drug, drink, and sex issues for them to deal with than was the case with my crowd, though its not a bad as some of the more morally hysterical people might think. God, I sound old.

SnoozeControl wrote: If you sound old, then I must sound ancient! I'm old enough to be your... er... auntie. Or maybe a cousin. :D

I think your a bit more with it that my auntie maureen though I love her to bits, i though you were in your 20's when I first talked to you for some reason you just have a youthful kinda zestiness about you, and anyway it would be possible for you to be my auntie and be younger than me! So I shall think of you as my cute cousin, twice removed and therefore not banned by the pope from playing doctors and nurses with, who brought one of the extras from the dukes of hazzard to the prom. Cool.

I also don't believe you that you couldn't get a date for your prom you were quite a looker, and you still have it, its all in the eyes my dear. Though I remeber that the girl I brought to the prom was one of the prettiest girls in town, but she didn't think it and she was near;y as nervous as I was so maybe your telling the truth.

Actually thinking about the age gap thing, although I am the first to admit that 19 and 20 year old women are physically very attractive, I generally find that for me personally attempting to have a relationship with any girl younger than 25 is pretty difficult, I annoy them as I come across as a bit world weary and more pheglematic than a younger guy, while they are still young and full of zest and ideals (specially about guys, which of course we quickly destroy with our antics and visa versa), which I like, but find hard to cope with on a day to day basis, though they are in general a lot more grown up than their male counterparts. Now of course I could meet someone who was only say 22 or something and fall in love with her, but in general I tend not to go for much younger women, that seems to happen to men as they stary getting older though doesn't it? We start feeling a bit out of date and need a Porsche (or at least a plastic simulation of a porshe that you can put over the body of your own car, and some 20 year old sex kitten, its a grisely fate. Seriously though, thinking about it, a lot of my recent girl friends have been older than me by a couple of years, which I never seemed to have a problem with (or them) or even think about really, but I suppose I do want kids at some stage so that puts some limit on things biologically. That was a thread at one stage wasn't it, men and women and age differences, I cant remember if there was any outcome or one that was more or less that peoples tastes while mostly conventional do have a lot of variations, or put a simpler way each to his/her own.

Anway this is about photos so I better go and find some from somewhere. ;)

You are a heartbreaker. At my age more like a heart attack. I'm would be willing to risk it, under different cirumstances.
