She............."Use names in family tree"
Thomas, James, William, Phylan (Mycock is not family sirname) Robert, John etc.
He..............."No!!! Not after dead ancesters"
She.............."Nice to recognise families past"
He.........."Morbid"
Aunty...."Try to find a new name so not to drive decendents crazy researching family tree 100 years from now".
What do members think? Stick with convention John or James etc.
Or Brutus, Hector, Chetan or Jasper?

Oh as this comes as any surprise coming from me, but I say be original, find your own name for your child, something couples agree upon mutually. Dead peoples names are often 1) over used through out the tree, 2) grossly dated 3) and confusing if more than one family member carries the name forward.
Yes I am Job son of Oliver and Maddy that is my cousin Job son of Tex and Tilly.
And on that note stick with clear consise names none of the frilly spelling that screws kids up in school. Same with pronunciation. Sally is Sally not Saleigh, That is Betty pronounced Be-tee not B-tee.
Believe me I know this well, and still have idiotic spelling of my name and frankly think I am going to become Sue real soon
Oooo and gender crossing dallas, chris, lindsay, aaron, you will forever have folks asking if that is the male or female spelling ie erin and lindsey, or when you get mail the have no clue if your a MR or MRS.
