I could of used that the first Easter after me and Dave were married. My nephew thought it was melted butter in middle of his eggs. :-2

Sounds good to me, I'm all for easy! ..... :wah:
Actually, the perfect way is this.
1 Place egg in a pan of cold water
2 Bring to the boil.
3 Place lid on pan and turn off the heat
4 Leave to stand for seven minutes
Hey presto! ... Perfectly cooked white and runny yolk, scrummy!
Now all run along and practice....

Oh, another butter thread.......................

The smart egg that shows you when it's boiled to perfection
She was in the kitchen doing the boiled eggs for breakfast.
He walks in and asks, "What's for breakfast?"
She turns to him and says, "You've got to make love to me this very moment".
He, thinking it's his lucky day, bends her over the kitchen table and they have sex.
Afterwards he says, "What was that all about?"
She says "The egg timer's broken!"
It HAD to be said! LMAO! :wah:
But seriously folks, this might be an eggheads idea of forward thinking, but whats the betting they'll be telling us in 10 years time that the ink is poisonous once the eggs are 3 days old and people will be dying from inky shellitus!

The perfect hard-cooked egg:
Pour in enough cold water to cover the eggs by at least an inch. Cover and bring to a boil. Turn off the water and allow eggs to stand 13 minutes.
Plunge eggs into cold water and crack the shell of each one. (This helps them peel easily.)
TA DAHHHH!

I use large eggs for boiling. I cover them with cold water and bring to the boil then simmer for 4 minutes. This gives me a firm white and a runny yolk. I can crack them just as soon as I can put them in their cups.
Medium eggs need 3 and a half minutes. I was taught this by my grandmother and it has never failed me.
For hard-boiled eggs, I cover the eggs with cold water and bring to the boil then simmer for 10 minutes for medium and 12 minutes for large. This gives me a firm yolk without greying. (Can't stand yolks with a grey edge.)
