Great pix Raven. I'm going away myself in a couple of weeks. If I can work out how to put the film in my digital camera I'll be laughing

Ah! You have been to the cheese-wring! Did you visit other places on the moor,

or indeed in Cornwall generally? There are *wonderful* places there (as well

as others).

No we didnt get to meet up with them, unfortunately. We had to cut our trip short by a few days. We didnt get to go to that part of Cornwall this trip. But there will be other times.

Get Arnie to help you if he's not too busy with his tummy fluff collecting.

You can have a swift half or so in The Cobweb, then.

Walking distance.... if needs must, or it's a fine night.

Millook Haven - folded shales, sandstone, between Dizzard Point & Bude ("Bood").

Bossiney.

"Tintagel castle".

The Port William, in the evening, up above Trebarwith Strand. Careful on the

beach.

Climb up "Rough Tor" (RowTer, Row as in "We had a row", *not* "Ruff"). Go

up Brown Willy, over the back, it's not that far if you're not hurrying. Don't omit

the monument near the small car-park at the end of the road from Camelford

to Roughtor. There's a flippin' great dip in that road, which is great fun. Make

sure there's nothing coming the other way when you hammer down it.

Afterwards at the Mason's, if you like that sort of thing, and have stamina.

St. Breward pub. Swim in the small cold pool at Delphi Bridge, nearby.

The best pasties came from Camelford butcher. Now closed. Alternative:

Barnecutt's in Molesworth Street, Wadebridge. Saffron Cake, or Yeast Cake,

from there, iis worth a bite.

Polzeath beach is covered in and isn't very nice. Avoid Pukey Nwequay like

the plague.

Rock to Padstow on the ferry and back. Beware oiks, who are a blight here.

Bedruthan Steps, if you can get that far. Get there three hours before low

tide, explore, and make sure you don't get caught by the incoming tide. This

is a real warning. Tides will be high when you go to Cornwall. There is no beach

at high tide. Lovely place. Go down the stairway at one end (this is not the

"steps", and along the whole beach to the "bay" at the other end, along an

easy sandy-floored rocky "crevasse" before you get there. There's a cave that

goes right through a rocky outcrop.

Lots of other things. Bed calls.
