I have also read that starting the day with a gallon of water is very energising. Takes some practising, though, and initially, the effects are very unpleasant until the body gets used to it. I've tried and I can't get past two and a half pints, then spend the next hour sounding like a water bag.

Cripes!! If I drank 1.5 litres of water when I first got up, I expect it would energise me quite a bit, what with all that running to the loo!! :wah:
BTW, saw an episode of "Mythbusters" where they disproved all the myths, exept the one about rotting teeth.
