Finally time to make myself known!

Post by kc1karla »

Hi everyone!

My name is Karla. I live smack dab in the middle of the continental US....(just north of Kansas City, Missouri).....otherwise known as "fly-over country". I'm 42 years old (if you listen to my youngest son, he would tell you I'm 42 and 5/8...but what does he know, he's only 9 & 3/4, :D ) I'm married to a wonderful man by the name of Gary, I have two older children by my first husband....a daughter, Erin, who turned 20 today! :yh_party (happy birthday, sweetie) and a son, Kyle, who just turned 18 (my problem child) :-5 .

My husband and I own our own small business, which is a nice way of saying I get all the yucky/stinky jobs and never draw a paycheck. But I suppose there's something to be said for flex hours, so it all works out.

That's about it, unless anyone has any questions they'd like to ask.

BTW....nice to meet you all and I hope I can get to know everyone soon.

You betcha!!! I can BBQ with the best of them! (and I know where the best of them are...hehehe)

What type of business do you and your husband own?

We build homes for a living....dealing with market swings is a bit scary at times, but we love the freedom and creativity.

And a very BIG thank you to all that welcomed me!

We are trying to get into home building. General contracting requires more in this state than does state licensed roofer. We own a roofing buisiness, specializing in roof design and metal roofs.
