well generally yes moi too but were at 12C today and the sun is blazing out there. Praise our chinook winds and sunny skies here as the greyness of other parts of the planet would have me in a padded cell by now.

Can I send you a little sun :-6 shine hun?

Sorry you're blue!!

I used to think I had something called "Seasonal Affective Disorder"

ever heard of it? Happens to quite a lot of people, because of the

shorter days.

I used to get up in the dark, go to work in the dark, 10-12 hours

under flourescent lights, and drive home in the dark. Talk about

SAD!!! :yh_sad

Hang in there, brighter/warmer days ahead!!

(Wear a cap, have you tried that? Helps a tiny bit, human body loses

most of it's heat out the top of the head!!)

Here's more sun!

Raven, Myself & my wife hate the Icey, Snowy Winters in CT !! So much so that 10 days after I retired from my job in CT January 31-05, we temporally moved to Sunny Florida for 3 months. Until the snow & ice go away! Then back mid May.

It's like a different world here, oh sorry to rub it in. But I know first hand how it feels to have cabin fever. As the older I got, the worse it got! So hang in there, sunny days :-6 can't be too far away.

SNOW BIRDS!! LOL!! This winter seems to be particularly tough. I seem to be a little more restless for some reason. Could be because I'm in a new place, and wanting to get back out to explore it. So hows retired life?

I dont blame you for wanting a break from a CT winter! I dont miss the IN ones either!

One cure for "cabin fever" is reading a good book.

Also put in your favorite CD and relax in a comfy chair and close your eyes and just groove to the music.(Or get on your feet and dance by yourself to the music).

You can also write letters or call a friend or relative to catch up on what's happening.

You can also just bundle up and get outside and just play in the snow.

Remember, Spring is just around the corner. Did you see that martin flying around out there? :)

Raven- Believe it or not, it really takes some getting used to being retired! I have been retired for "one" whole month now, and am still not really used to it yet.

We watch the weather channel a couple of times a week to check out the weather back in CT. It really "stinks", Ice, Snow, Ice, Snow, more Snow, there seems to be no let up! We have a Granddaughter in CT that has had at least two "Snow-Days" off each week from school for the past 5 weeks. My retirement party thrown by my fellow workers had to be postponed due to a heavy Snow storm. My wife & I traveled to the Airport on a day that was "in between Snow storms", lucky for us! Anyway, I can understand your curiosity getting the best of you, and wanting to explore your surroundings, you will get to do it soon I'm sure, enjoy! :)

It was 68 degrees here on Sunday, with an ice storm yesterday. Winter wants to stay around some, but I am looking forward to summer coming as soon as possible.
