My thoughts (Warning, lengthy)

Post by chonsigirl »

Thank you Far for your thoughts. I know I miss you terribly here, and the turmoil you inner spirit went through over this whole debacle. It was hard for you to leave, and frankly FG has never been the same since.

But this is an old hurt about Jives, that keeps popping up and continues to cause pain to many, including now Val. Whom we all adore. Who would want to say hurtful and mean things to her and not let this issue drop? Because it needs to be dropped. It is ruining FG, and to see constant fighting is chasing many lovely members away.

Snooze responded to Val's thread out of her respect and love for her, and kudos for that. We all feel the same way about Val.

It is time to let this issue be dropped, and let Val take her break if she needs it and return to the happier FG we used to be. Yes, it will always change with the addition of new members, but with the true spirit of friendship which has manifested itself in real ways: Pinky's trip-what kind people we really have here. They have hearts of gold to send her. Floppy-she drove how many hours each way to be there, waiting for her to make sure everything was fine, and check on BR! Minks trip-we lived through her trip, seeing our favorite people and experiencing the adventures. We all wished we were with each of them.

That is what FG really is, how the internet has formed true friendships past a computer screen into our very homes and lives. As part of this family, I would like to see us at peace, and back to the loving and fun antics that make us smile everyday.

As our friend Adam likes to say, I've no dog in this fight, but I'm weighing in, anyway. It's so obvious that there are people with bad intentions working against the good feelings of this forum. Some of them are easily identified and some are not.

Tigerlily raised the issue (above) of forums being available for people who wish to assume new identities, etc. That's true...MOST OF THOSE FORUMS ADVERTISE ROLE PLAYING!

ForumGarden is different. This one presents itself as a place where people are as they present themselves. Friendships have formed (I'm still overwhelmed at the generosity you all have shown to BabyRider) and friendships such as these are never nurtured by lies of the magnitude we've seen displayed here.

It's obvious that jealous, resentful, angry people want to hurt many of you. It's obvious that they've created new/additional identities to accomplish that goal.

It's obvious, too, that you have one power they do not....you can IGNORE THE TROLLS. Work around them. They want to sow discord....and if they can't do it...they'll lose.

Right your are Lu, I was thinking along the very same lines. It also seems some of the "pot stirrers" from the "other" forums may have now landed in here! :guitarist

There is a way.

It would take trust and organization though.

It was intended as humour based on my bringing the instruction out of the heap by quoting it, while saying I'd not do it... *technically* it's funny. I do apologise for possibly sounding critical, I didn't intend to.

i really don't think that reply is appropriate in this thread. probably better in the pub.

*ow,ow,ow,ow* being serious hurts. kinda like eating ice cream too fast.

+++++++++ It's not the being serious that hurts...it's ME tweaking your ear for being snippy about my ever-so logical response to Snooze, Nomad and Chonsi. Try to keep up, will you? :wah:

Being away from 'The Garden' for 5 days has been more traumatic than other stuff going on in my life just now :( ...How mad is that ???? but what it does illustrate is the unique nature of FG and how we truly DO have relationships with the folks here.

An observation. Some of us are naive and too trusting, maybe not so 'streetwise' as others. We get sucked in to peoples fantasies and lies, argue the toss and end up looking 'right pratts'. That's how I feel right now.

I feel like some how I've let Val down badly and I'm so sorry if I have.

Hugs to you Val....you are the 'Oak Tree' of the Garden.....spreading your branches over us and protecting us......if some folks have broken a few of your branches, they will heal given time.....come back soon.
