Johannesburg House.....Demolition

Post by woppy71 »

At this current moment, workmen are demolishing a four floor block of flats opposite to where I live. It's a facinating sight, they've got these two big machines with great big claws on the end, that look like two big dinosaurs taking bites out of the building. I will try and get a photo if I can.

They say that working in the demolition industry is the most satisfying job you can have. Certainly looks fun:)

Oh that does sound fun all right, I bet it's a great way of relieving any stress they have, by smashing the flats to pieces hehehe. Try and get a pic up ASAP Woopy, perhaps a now and after view.

Working on it, they seem to have dissapeared round the other side at the moment.

As promised, here are a few photo's of what's going on.... (in the first photo, you can see in the background what the block of flats used to look like.)

Very cool! We had an implosion here a few years ago. Buildings were having raffles to see who got to sit in their roof tops to watch! Quite a spectical for this town.

If you pay for the flight, then no problem!! Archie would love another friend to play with.

The first thing Archie said was "They look like dinosaurs daddy!!!"

Then:

"Why are they eating that house?" :wah:
