Need help installing a sound card.

Unfortunately, you will need your install disk to install the sound card. Windows is looking for certain system files - called CAB files - and it must have the disk to pull these off. My advice to you is to ask around, undoubtedly someone has a Win98SE install disk that you can borrow to complete this task.

Alternatively, Windows 98 is fast becoming an outdated operating system. While expensive, it might be better for you to go ahead and purchase an update to Windows XP (assuming, of course, that you have the hardware to run it).
