when i lost my daughter a few kind words from a few very special people helped me through some of the darkest most painful hours a human being can endure
I'm not very well educated though i have been told I'm pretty intelligent i had to quite school and work on the family farm when my dad was ill. now I'm happy again and it really hurts to know there are people out there that are suffering the soul destroying grief i did . all i can offer is a big heart honesty and a good sense of humour and a world of experience of dealing with 1 daughter dying 2 brothers dying my mother dying and my cousin and also my best friend being murdered oh my uncle fred the greatest man i've ever known died not long ago .. so if any one needs some one to talk to i'm here but as you see i do ramble on a bit
i'd like to offer help but how

I am sure those who talk to you will find a listening ear and a kind heart.

That is a lot of grief to deal with Jimbo
We'll know where to steer anyone who needs to talk.

How sweet of you to reach out.
It's not easy to discuss that soul destroying grief.
I admire you for doing so.

Jimbo. You don't need education and you don't need intelligence. Just a compassionate heart and an ability to listen without talking except to encourage them to talk.
This being your desire, the people who need you will find you or you will find them.:-6

Dear Jimbo,
What a thoughtful guy you must be.
I'm sure you *are* intelligent, in my opinion it's life experiences that make one wise and not all education is to be had in school.
I am very sorry for all the loss you have suffered. I think you already have a very good understanding of what grieving people need. I just lost my mother three months ago and I find the way people help me best is just to "be there." Be there to listen, be there to encourage me to talk about my mom, be there to take me shopping or out to lunch one day, call me on occasion to let me know you haven't forgotten that I'm still struggling and still have bad days. Sometimes it's very lonely around here. So often people will say "Let me know if there's anything you need." A grieving person doesn't always do so because they feel they are imposing. And often it's just nicer if the friend jumps right in and makes themself available without having to be asked.
I think it's very big hearted of you to want to help people in their grief. :-4

Red, please accept my sympathies. I think I can safely say that we (FG) are all here for you if you need a shoulder or two.:-4
It has been over 20 years since both my parents passed on. And I still miss them, although obviously, I have grown used to them not being there. It took me a long while to get past the utter grief.
