some of the people's opinions are found in reading a thread about it in the music forum.

So what should a person believe regarding Michael’s innocence or otherwise of child molestation? In taking my decision I first of all considered the fact that Michael Jackson has a strong connection with kids. What does the megastar got with kids you may ask? Well it is said that his Neverland Ranch is a kid’s paradise with assorted state of the art toys which no kid will visit and not wish to remain there permanently. According to Michael, he never enjoyed his childhood days (as he was busy making music) so now is his time to live the childhood that he missed. So as old as he is, he plays with toys and interacts with children as though he is also a kid. His “love†for kids does not end at playing with toys but he also invites them to his bedroom and even allows them to sleep on his bed. I really can’t grasp what a kid will be doing on Michael’s bed. The whole thing really stinks as a person’s bedroom is supposed to be a real private place for him and his wife (if married). In this regard, I in my humble opinion feel that Michael Jackson is guilty in spite of the fact that I love a number of his songs. You see, this is not the first time that he has been accused of this shameful act. Some years ago a family accused him of molesting their child but the case was settled out of court with Michael parting with some millions of Dollars. Now the same Michael is accused of the same crime again. I truly smell a rat though it’s a matter of time for us to know whether or not he is guilty. In fact, Michael may even be acquitted considering his money and fame but in the deepest crannies of my heart, I feel the superstar has got some skeletons in his cupboard. That’s my personal opinion though!

Its all gone quiet over here on the Whacko front, whats happening in the courts?

I was of the opinion that Jacko was being framed, but then, I heard Chris Rock the comedian in one of his routines, allude to the fact that he was a bit of a pervert. Just a joke or does he know something?

they are in jury selection which may well be lengthy.......250 prospective jurors must be interviewed by the judge. then when the pool is narrowed down the lawyers on both sides will get to ascertain any bias. they have a certain number of presumptive strikes, they can let the juror go without cause. as to him subpeonaing his hollywood friends, he will clearly only call friendlies to the stand. it's meant to dazzle and blind the jurors with "star power". :yh_star :yh_star :yh_star

It amazed me that the guy could do an interview televised on american tv when they are doing jury selection, surely if by any remote chance that their is anyone in the state that has never heard about the allegations, they do now!! or are prospective jurors not allowed to read the papers or watch tv?
Michael Jackson Case
the brashier broadcast was before charges filed. there is no-one on the planet that does not know about the case. all they need to be able to swear to is that they will decide fairly on the basis of the evidence presented in court. with no prior prejudice. but the brashier tape is being allowed in evidence. once, and if, they are sequestered, they cannot read news accounts. or discuss with each other. that is juror misconduct and grounds for mistrial.

I did'nt mean the Martin Bashir interview, he did one with a guy called Geraldo Rivera & it was aired on Fox News early Feb, found the transcript on Whackos fansite. http://www.mjfanclub.net/news/index.html
Michael Jackson Case
that geraldo interview was a complete "fix". it was softball, and meant to be in jackson's favor. geraldo is jackson's friend . it was agreed it would all be to jackson's advantage. it wasn't journalism, it was a suck-up-festival. i have no idea whether it would be admissable. and i forgot the question! LOL.........oh, there is no restriction on prospective jurors, the court can't put limits on them until they are sworn.

From what I am hearing, some stars are being called to testimony to show suspect the family's credibility. It seems that the family was trying to get money out of people using the son's illness and his relationship to Jackson. I may be wrong, I try to avoid listening to this mess. Frustrating.
I do not know if he is guilty, my gut tells me yes, but I must try to remain open-minded and see what the courts say. If he is guilty, I hope he gets locked away for a very long time.

If this was a ploy, then it was a character assassinating one. Because of this, I think it is probably legit. If it got out that Jackson faked and lied about this, he would have a very hard time convincing people that he is being truthful.

there's a press conference coming up any minute. he is supposed to have the flu. but...every time jackson has had to answer to difficult situations he has fallen down from exhaustion, been on crutches from a spider bite, checked into a rehab, has panic attacks, blah blah blah.......this guy CANNOT face months in the courtroom hearing allegations. he is used to being THE GREAT AND POWERFUL with no one allowed to disagree or accuse. this is unendurable for the fragile nutjob. he does not want to face the music.

You crack me up. I am used to getting debated on everything I say about this and everything else. I love someone just telling it like it is in such a comical way. But yes, I think the same thing. I honestly don't know how he'll survive if convicted. I wonder how they will handle this trial and making him face it. Perhaps they should make him foot the bill for the costs that will be incurred everytime he is too frail to face the trial.

well he was 'exhibiting flu symptoms'...does not actually have the flu. will be released from hospital today. another hypochondria episode. he can delay, and will again, he is, after all, the ultimate drama queen...but sooner or later the trial will go forward. in fact, he could skip the country, but would be tried in absentia. unless the judge has the foresight to take his passport, i would not be shocked if he went somewhere with a no-extradition policy. argentina is nice this time of year. better that than risk a prison sentence...where there are no ferris wheels or plastic surgeons to silly putty that nose.
Michael Jackson Case
well he's back in never-never land....and the lives of the jury pool, the judge, the DA office, the court officers, et al , are all on hold until next tuesday. can't inconvenience the king of pop after all. anyone care to wager how many 'health issues' will assail jackson during the course of the trial? you read it here first folks...I PREDICT a 'nervous breakdown' requiring a years confinement at an "institution"....in Switzerland.

God forgive me but I hope he has nothing trivial, seriously you can see where this is going, stand by for the "Jackson to unwell" to stand trial ploy, if that does not work on a physical level then he will try a mental plea of some description.

.....IF jackson is convicted on his charges, and he's still in the country, he will be sent to prison, the judge will only have some discretion as to how long. that judge needs to take his passport.

:-5 Ugghhh! This whole thing makes me sick to my stomach! Jackson has been in and out of court for years regarding this stuff!
What`s even sicker is how the parents pimp out thier children to him, hoping they will be molested so they can make a whole lotta $$$ What parent in thier right mind would even let thier child near Jackson?
Before you "innocent until proven guilty" people get your shorts in a bunch, let me say this...if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck..then it's a duck! If he ever does any time I doubt it will be more than 5 years, he will probably get a special cell built for him with video games, rides and a zoo and congugal visits for all his adoring fans kids!
Sorry, my vent is now over..but damn this stuff makes me mad!

I would normally not be swayed one way or the other about celebrity court cases until they were proved guilty in a court of law. But evidence asside as a mother a thought niggles at the back of my mind. I volunteer in a school and a cub pack. We have rules about not being left on your own with a child and no other adult there. It prevents any accusations. If my child was very ill and someone wanted to make them feel better by inviting them to this fantastic place. I would have thought they would invite the parent to stay with the child as well. This is an ill child and should be with the parents afterall. Anybody would want to prevent being labelled a paediophile, a shame so great. Especially if someone had cried this once before. If hes innocent hes also a moron for not learning a lesson and protecting himself better. What were the parents thinking? This guy has already been labelled a child molester and they didnt think to insist on sleeping in the same room as the kid? Is he guilty ? well we may never know but for everyones sake dont send your kids there. Give them plenty of love and they will appreciate it a whole lot more.
Blessed be.

Accuser's Brother: Jackson Groped Him
Mon Mar 7,11:06 PM ET
By LINDA DEUTSCH, AP Special Correspondent
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The younger brother of Michael Jackson (news)'s accuser described for jurors in graphic detail Monday how he twice saw the pop star fondle the child while the young boy lay sleeping in Jackson's bed at his Neverland Ranch.
The brother also testified that Jackson showed them Internet sex sites, gave them wine, slept in bed with them and appeared before them naked and sexually aroused at the pop star's Neverland ranch.
"Me and my brother were watching a movie and Michael walked up naked," the 14-year-old witness testified. "Me and my brother were grossed out. He sat on the bed and said it was natural," then left the room.
Speaking calmly, directly and unemotionally, he said the molestation occurred shortly after Jackson had shown the boys sexually explicit magazines that he kept in a suitcase in his bedroom.
District Attorney Tom Sneddon projected on a courtroom screen the covers of magazines including one called Barely Legal, which depicted an extremely young woman with her breasts exposed.
The defense has said Jackson had "girlie" magazines in his house but never showed them to children.
The boy said that after seeing Jackson with his hand in his brother's underwear he witnessed another episode of what he described as masturbation two days later. He did not state the dates of the incidents, which the prosecution says followed a February 2003 TV documentary in which Jackson appeared with the boy at Neverland.
Jackson, 46, is accused of molesting a 13-year-old cancer survivor at Neverland, giving him alcohol and conspiring to hold the family captive to get them to rebut the damaging documentary in which Jackson said he allowed children to sleep in his bedroom.
The defense is expected to attack the account as fiction designed by the children's mother in an attempt to get money from the pop star.
The courtroom was still during the boys's testimony Monday. Sometimes the boy spoke softly and had to be told to speak up, but he did not hesitate to answer questions.
Jackson's mother and father were present but showed no reaction. Jackson occasionally leaned over, put his hand on his lawyer's shoulder and whispered in his ear. Jurors listened intently and a few took notes.
The rosy-cheeked boy appeared to grow fatigued by the end of the day, yawning widely and rubbing his eyes with his hands. He faced more questioning by the prosecutor Tuesday.
The brother said that Jackson first brought up the subject of masturbation with him and asked if he ever did it.
The boy said he answered no.
"Then he said to me, 'Everyone does it. You should try it. It's OK,'" the witness said of Jackson.
He also told of Jackson conducting drinking parties with his young boy guests in which he served them wine and called it "Jesus juice."
The witness indicated he was surprised when he walked in on Jackson touching his brother.
He said he pushed open the door to Jackson's room and, "I saw directly onto the bed. I saw my brother was outside the covers. I saw Michael's left hand in my brother's underwears and I saw his right hand in his underwears," he said.
He described his brother as curled up and snoring slightly, and he said he saw Jackson masturbating.
Two days later, he said he encountered a similar scene after entering Jackson's home.
"I went upstairs. The same thing was happening but my brother was on his back. ... My brother was asleep. Michael was masturbating while he had his left hand in my brother's underwears."
The witness said he didn't tell his mother or his sister what happened, nor did he tell his brother what he had seen.
"I didn't know what to do," the witness said. "I went back to my guest room."
The witness said the first person he told about the incident was psychologist Stan Katz, who interviewed the boy and then notified the authorities.
The boy also described an incident in which Jackson grabbed a mannequin that he kept in his bedroom and "he pretended like he was having intercourse with it" on bed while fully clothed and laughing.
Jurors were shown a photo of a mannequin depicting a girl with braids.
As Jackson left court and a reporter asked him how he felt hearing the testimony, the singer said, "I'm sorry, I'm under a gag order."

Michael Jackson's fall is sad. The fact his trial will be spattered all over the media for months makes it all even worse. I do believe he has been inappropriate with minors. I also think he is so disconnected with reality that he sincerely sees nothing wrong with what he's done. He is coached from the minute he wakes up on how to respond to the allegations. His security detail is just as guilty of the alleged crimes as he is. You just KNOW they were aware of the happenings at his compound! Jackson likely has strong sexual feelings for the very young for psychological reasons, and I'm willing to bet he's never hurt anyone- physically. Of course this kind of behavior is just not acceptable and he should be jailed. Intense therapy is also a must. The real story of his life will be fascinating to read. We won't see it for many years.
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group that believes you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas millionaires, or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid." I really don't think it's "crazy like a fox" to show up in pajama bottoms
at your court case for molesting little boys... way to throw the juror's
minds right back to where/when it happened!!
There is no defending him so I won't try but I will say, it's interesting
to hear an "insider" say MJ doesn't have back trouble. If it was
something like a pinched sciatic nerve, I'm here to tell ya that the
pain from that is excrutiating and debilitating and takes quite a while
to get over. About a month for an extremely physically fit person
like me. And the doctor told me there was no way to tell HOW I did it,
'cause I asked to try and avoid it in the future!
I think I will trust that jury to figure out what's up. And hope MJ doesn't
commit suicide after all this money has been spent on him.
