All the King's Men

I see they are remaiking ALL the King's Men with Sean Penn in the Broderick Crawford part (Don't you DARE ask who Broderick Crawford is:) ) It should be good.

There was a time that I read every thing Robert Penn Warren wrote. This book was touted as one of his best. He was pretty prolific.

Anyway, we'll see how the remake is. Can't be any worse than some of the others they've done lately.

BTW, I love Broderick Crawford! ("You're in a heap of trouble, boy". Wasn't that the line that made him famous?)

The film, from what I've read, has been slated, being described as "dreadful on

many levels".

Perhaps you'll review it when you've seen it!

I kenw it!! You're just a kid!! Even too young to remember him in "Highway Patrol" on T.V. as the captain!

Actually, Broderick Crawford was a talented actor, but unfortunately, type cast as the bad guy quite a lot. HE won an Oscar for his part in All The Knigs Men.

He was in a lot of episodic t.v.shows, almost always as the bad guy. HIghway Patrol may have been his only good guy.
