Caught on Tape: Infamous Gaffes

Post by Galbally »

Thank you snooze, good to see you posting lots again.

I am reminded of when Tony Blair admitted that during a trip to France he decided to make his big speech to a gathering of French VIPs in their native language (he actually speaks French very well by all accounts). Unfotunatly during a passage praising the then Prime Minister of France, Lional Jospin, instead of saying "I greatly admire Mr Jospin", he instead quipped, "I can say to you with all frankness, that I greatly desire Lional Jospin". It took him a while to understand why his audience couldn't stop laughing.
"We are never so happy, never so unhappy, as we imagine"

Good old Philip, when visiting the Great Wall of China, was heard to refer to his hosts as "slanty eyed chinkies" - it didn't go down too well .......

and his letching over half naked african dancers is legendary :wah:

Poor soul - he is nearly 90 and they should give him a rest occasionally.
