Scariest Movie of all time...

Post by Yavanna »

The original Amityville Horror was scary, I thought ; more because of James Brolin's overhanging brow, but it still got me creeped out.

I agree about The Exorcist ; that's an intelligent as well as terrifying film. And based on a true story. I wish the updated version hadn't added in stupid shots of the demon imposed on walls and stuff ; it didn't need that. Quite scary enough, thanks very much!

I also found The Descent really terrifying ; dark enclosed spaces, panic setting in and strange Gollum like creatures having a party down there.

I remember as a kid hiding behind the door and peeking to watch The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ... it scared the bejezzus out of me. And had nightmares for weeks ... Watched again recently, and compared to movies now it is so tame

The one that freaked me out recently was Wolf Creek.

Its based on a true story in the Australian Outback. Jeepers. Couldnt finish watching it it was so graphic.

Blah

Gimme a girlie movie any day :p

Yes, Yavanna, the original Amityville was a good one.

Not real scary but fun in a campy, gross, mad scientist way I liked "Reanimator."

Scariest Movie of all time...

I just had to reply to this thread, I love watching horror's but for the other people around me i make it an absolute nightmare.

Jim and I went to see "What lies beneath" at the movies, within 15 mins of the film starting i had shrunk right down in my seat, anyway it got to the bit where Michelle P was having a soak in the bath, the dead girl was by the side of the bath..... all i could see out the corner of my eye was the blond hair of the dead girl right next to me... i started to scream very loudly making everyone leave their seats..... the blond waited for me to stop screaming then said "excuse me, can i get past to use the bathroom" Whoops!!!!!!!:o :o

The worst dream after a movie was 2 weeks ago, i'd been really ill with a chest infection, i came downstairs where Jim and i started to watch a film called Perfect Murder, not a horror but a jumpy one.

I woke up at 3 in the morning literally choking to death!!! (okay slight exageration) anyway Jim started to ask if i was okay and what was up, i went on to tell him that he knew exactly what was up, he'd tried to strangle me in my sleep!!! Jim still half asleep thought i was joking, i got up and went in the spare room where i layed awake for 2 hours to scared to sleep!!! Of course the next day i realised it was me coughing that had led to me drawing for breath, but it just seemed so real.

:D :D

helefra wrote: I saw all of that film and yes you can't believe these evil people exist. I'd tell you the ending but I don't want to spoil it in case anyone else hasn't seen it yet.

Anyway, if you think "Wolf Creek" was creepy, you ought to see "Hoboken Hollow" - that one is WORSE.

Oh I think Ive seen that one, was Dennis Hopper in it? I think he was a Sherriff?

My partner is a horror flick fan, I sit with my fingers over my eyes, peeping out and yelling out "la la la la" when I dont want to hear.

I can never watch a whole one.

Give me a sappy girlie movie anyday :o

:) Hi people

If there are people that really love horror movies then go to a site called "Bloody-Disgusting.Com". It shows up & coming horror movies and some have trailers. They are doing a remake of "The Hitcher" starring Sean Bean this time. I always Rutger Hauer was a hunk in the first one.

Love, light & blessings

Annie :)
