Crazes and fads

Hey Florrie, I still don't have a cell phone. Why I would want to talk on the phone while in Walmart is still beyond me ;) I also refuse to get into capri pants - I want either pants or shorts, but not something in between

The last person to read Brigett's diary and Harry Potter....last one in the gang to get a mini skirt.....last to get email....don't even have a mobile phone....always awaiting proof for best value.

I'm sure theres more........................ :driving: to an old bore.

I didn't start watching the TV show "Friends" until it was running for 3 years ahahaha so not a big trend follower here either.

Cell phone, hmmmm since I have that young daughter, I am forever greatful for our cell connection. Guess they are only faddish if you use em as a status kind of thing.

O.....M.....G, I crossed my fingers last year that they would not bring back capri pants or clam diggers or pedal pushers this year. But, nooooooo, they had to bring those horrid things back. Some of the women I have seen in those things make me want to fall down and hide. Honey, just cause it comes in your size don't mean you have to wear it!

And it is time that "does this make my lips look big enough" red lipstick has got to go!

I'm sorry, what was the topic again?

oh oh oh and what about them in the board room, holy cow who who who said it was ok to have "capri" pants with the executive look and pair them up with high end high heels? Seriously they are trying here to make them a part of the business woman look. Oh praise the almighty I work in an office where the dress code is jeans.

:yh_rotfl

I have entirely too large of a rear end to ever wear those!!

I don't follow crazes or fads any more, but I sure wish I could have in

high school when it (to ME) counted most. Anyone remember those big

fluffy plush coats we used to call "Teddy Bear" coats?!?!? I begged and

begged and BEGGED my Mom to get me one... she wouldn't because

they were "too expensive"! Finally, one day, when they had gone

WAAAAAY down in price (because the fad was over and they had to

move the rest of them out) she bought me one. Oy vey, had to wear that

thing into the ground... I'll never forget it.

I'd show it but it would take too long to iron the wrinkles out!

I kind of like the clam digger thing. I'm almost six feet tall. Pants don't usually come long enough. Or just barely then they shrink in the first wash.

I'm usually ahead of the times on everything except electronics. I didn't buy my first stereo until I was about 22. More of a tightwad thing than a fad issue. I watched my brother spend every dime updating his system every few months. That's my issue with computers. As soon as you buy them they are outdated. This is not a world for pennypinchers if you want to be trendy. Throw everything out every year and start over.

I like to start trends. And use old stuff to do it.

I'm happy to say that I am totally in style. As long as that style is biker gear. :yh_rotfl

The "latest trend" never interested me in high school, and it sure don't now!!! I wear what I like, and phooey on what's hot....Because give it 30 seconds, and it won't be hot anymore!

Every time the biker look gets trendy again you can say you started it. That good about every five years. Not bad for an anti-trend-setter.
