There were at least 27 children, grades 1st through 8th, in the building at the time. :( It just fills me with dread sending my children to school any more.

Watching the press conference. Apparantly this was pre planned. He let the boys go, along with the teachers who had small infants with them or were pregnant. He then bound the little girls by their feet. They are saying it was revenge for something that happened 20 years earlier.

This is so sad, and crazy. it's going to be interesting to see exactly why all these events came to happen. :(

It is rather scary. God, the worst thing I worried about in school used to be if I was dressed OK, and if I studied hard enough for a test.

That's what I want to know. How ARE they getting in? Although there is security at my kids' school, I wonder how hard it would be.

I hear you, Marie.

It's hard to believe just *how much* times have changed since we were young schoolgirls :(

The world is so different than when we were young. I often struggle to understand why our youth today seem so angry, unmotivated, and not goal orientated. These kinds of horiffic incidents are the reason why. Our children live surrounded by gore, violence and trauma. I thank God I no longer have school age children, but I have to be concerned for my grandchildren and children of strangers. The execution of little girls I do not know, causes me as much grief as if I knew them.
