Giday!

It's bored wombat 'ere from down unda - to this guy::driving: has the wheel on the wrong side of the gear stick.

(Actual factual, I'm an expat kiwi, but what's nationality in this globalised world? (Don't you wish?)).

So "Kia Ora", and all that!

Anyhoo, I plan to pop in and hurl abuse and a little phlegm around this luverly looking forum. (By Crikey, by Tyche.)

... be good ...

Well, Cher 'n' lil' Buster, that's a good idea. I should fill in me background a little.:)

Of course, I noticed on the way in that FG demands that it all be accurate and complete, and I don't need the nice folks from the NSA tapping all me phone calls for a few years each time I post "I've bin laden down with heavy thoughts this week", or some such converstional opener, that might accidentally set off their little alarm bells.:yh_beatup

But I guess they know who I am from me IP address cross referenced with their database of the activity of me ISP.

..Sure is a cute lil' fella that buster...

Welcome BW!

So, tell me, what keeps a wombat from becoming bored?

Do they just sit in trees and cry when they are bored? Or do they . . . OK, what the hell is a wombat?

Are you cute and furry? :wah:

I don't know about you, but I enjoy watching paint dry. I imagine that the wet paint is a big freshwater lake that is the only source of water for some tiny cities by the lake. As the lake gets drier, the population gets more desperate, and sometimes there are water riots. Once there was a big fire and everyone died. That about sums it up for me. Whats your deal ?

Ain't that the truth Tmbsgrl! And although it's mighty depressing to dwell on, there's those the just stay with you. A persistant tragedy is love.

Well, YYY [wise:D] , now you mention it I amost always hear squealing and various tones and clicks. I wonder if it's something I've posted in the past.

You know, maybe I've been a bit forward in some of me opinions that could be considered a bit anti-government line. Fer instance, I can't help but thinking that that young David Hicks fella held at Guantanamo should have got a trial by now. Five years in captivity is a durn long time for a Jackeroo, and I can't help thinking that if he got in front of a Judge, that they'd have to take one look at him and say "Mate, you're way too small to be a threat to this country, there's clearly been some misunderstanding."

And then they'd give him a horse, and he could ride back to the outback under the bright southern stars.

Of course the horse would have a little more bother than usual, what with the high calorie diet that they are getting in Guantanamo, and with all that ocean to ride across before you get to the outback.

... On the other hand, I am still using dial up internet, which might also explain those noises...

Well 911, Us wombats are short stocky little critters that look like a small bear but with thalidomide induced phocomelia.

We little fellas behave more like a kind of fearless rabbit on steroids, and will dig a hole rather than climb a tree, and will make very short work of your carrot patch. We're not as yellow as rabbits, but, and are occasionally susceptible to 'roid-rage. With our dander up, we can usually get our way, since we weigh in at nigh-on eighty pounds.

Now, eighty pounds in the shins at a high speed waddle of about 10kph, will down a strong man. Unfortunately we're not blessed with a neck, and it's awful frustrating if you've got your dander up, and some smart-arse picks you up under the arm-pits. I reckon people must practice curling 80 pounds before coming to Australia.:yh_frustr

If we get bored, we like to play in the traffic. This is lots of fun, 'cos we're close enough to the ground that we go right under the roo-bars and take out the vehicle.:D

Well, that sounds like a very interesting life to me!

Down here we have armidillos that like to play in traffic but unfortunately we see more belly up on the side of the road than crossing it. They're a might slow and if you're gonna play in traffic at night you gotta be rather quick. We tend to drive like we're trying out for NASCAR :wah:
