This is my last full day in Canada.

I've been packed for over a week. Watch out all you Brits, I'm on my way.

I have a "tour guide" who'll make sure I'm safe until I develop my own accent. If necessary, I'll plaster a maple leaf all over my person.

Crikey! You're settling in the UK, or using it as a jumping-off point, or just seeing

how it goes? What a surprise!

I'm just going over the pond, really. My ex said he was too old to do anything like this. He's only a year older than me. Thanks for the encouragement!

Settling. Have to stay there at least five years to get my citizenship so my daughter can claim ancestry as well. Then I'll probably hop around but keep my home in the UK.

Must admit I've had some help choosing.

My grandmother being born there is the first factor and the exact location was suggested. I picked it from a small group of possibilities.

Hopefully I'll be able to report success very soon.

KOAN I ADMIRE YOUR COURAGE!!

Sorry about the caps but I truly do admire you.

Dam shame however that we loose yet another Canuck, this leaves me as the longest standing canuck member of FG

All the best to you, I hope when I get back there, you are on the roster of the next FG meet up.

Hey by the way if you have any citizenship issues you check with Raven, granted she was a yank but she may have good info for you.

Cheers mate

when we moved to Florida we got rid of everything, threw some clothes in the car and just went for it. We ended up living there for 10 years. :-6

In my search for temporary accomodations I've got a number of ideas about where we can meet up. There are amazing self catering places in heritage buildings.
