Hello to all from Tennessee

Post by daisyrose »

I am Lela's mom (your CheshireCat). She loved this forum so I decided to join and have a look around. So many of you have had such nice things to say about her for which I am grateful. I hope you have had a chance to hear her sing.

I am a retired math teacher...algebra and geometry. I still tutor some and really love kids but am enjoying retirement. We have two labs and five cats. :)

Hello Wendy

Hey what do you think of fellow Scot Gerard Butler? I recently saw "Beowuff and Grendal" - loved him in "Dear Frankie"

Hello DaisyRose,

How lovely to see you and how lovely to be able welcome you to FG. :-6

We're a very big but very close group of friends, scattered all over the world.

Who would think such a diverse group of people could come to care for each other so much? And yet we do. We take each new member to our hearts - their joy is our joy and their pain is our pain. With all the many shams scattered across the internet, this has become a haven of friendship and laughter for so many of us.

Lela was part of our group for such a short time - yet she touched the hearts of every single one of us. She was so bright and bubbly, funny and giggly and she cared so deeply for the animals in her care. She was such a bright light and she burned so very brightly that she has burned a place in all our hearts and we were devastated that her light was taken from us so quickly and unexpectedly. :-1

Daisy Rose, you and your family must have been so shocked and upset at Lela's passing and yet you were all so kind as to let us share in her life through her photographs and her music and for the amazing memorial Lela's sister made for her and also by coming to talk to us about Lela. It must be so hard for you and yet so wonderful for us to know a little more of Lela's sweetness.

God Bless your family for sharing her with us, her internet family, and for letting us be involved. I hope you are all well and I wish you all the love in the world that you may find the strength to move forwards knowing that whilst Lela lives on in all our hearts then she is never truly gone from this world.

The biggest of hugs to you and all your family, :yh_hugs

All my love,

Melanie. xxx

Daisy, I'm new here and didn't get to meet Lela but I've seen her mentioned so many times, she must have been so special and she touched so many people that I wish I'd had the chance to know her.

I hope you find your visits here a comfort and that you have some fun too.

I am overwhelmed with the warmth of your greetings! I see why Lela loved all of you so much. I am delighted that my daughter Cheryl was able to get her slide show and her music out for all to see and hear. Our family has grown up with music at the core...whether it be church, band, chorus, or just impromptu family harmonies. My mother, cousin and I used to sing at the kitchen sink when we washed and dried the dishes. I learned the harmonies and it was such great fun...then passed it along to my kids...:-4

I love all the graphics...how do you do that???

Welcome DaisyRose!!! We're happy to have you join us here! :D

The graphics?... she must be referring to all the cool signatures at the bottom of everyones posts... that's easy enough... we've got a number of people here that can help make you some really wonderful signatures. :)
