Lettuce ........... why o why do people have to cram as much iceberg bloody lettace into a sandwich or roll i don't know

. I DETEST THE STUFF and it takes ages to pick out .

To be honest I see it all the time, especially with people who are new.....

I think part of the problem is people subconsciously put an excess of toppings on food that are essentially light. I think because it feels so light to them this causes them to add more onto the food. It has to be, because I see it from different people almost all the time....it's not like this is a habit from a few, but some sort of phenomenon that can't be explained...

Actually when you said that , the first thing that came to my mind was a sandwich I particularly enjoy from "Subby's" (I don't know if you know what that is -- its a submarine sandwich store much like Subway) that they tend to overdue with lettuce....Now I am Hungary, and want to get one of them today....obviously will be picking some lettuce off of it. :wah:

I think they add it because its cheap $hit . I don't even feed it to my reptiles becase it has no nutritional value . It just really pees me off having to pick the bits of lettuce out of the gooey mayo .

We have Subway we also have a great little bakers called Greggs . Just before my post i was about to stuff my face with a chicken and bacon upon finding mountains of lettuce

..so i started this thread .... and i still hate lettuce .

Maybe from an owners perspective....

But to be honest I don't think the people who actually work for commercialized restaurants give one aoda about how much lettuce they put on something, if any. I honestly think its a habit that many seem to have trouble breaking.

Well, now that lettuce is off the shelves for a while, we may be safe from the great lettuce invasion.

But, yesterday I was driving down a country road and passed through rows and rows of cabbages!! I should add that there were no kids growing in the cabbage patch.

By the way, I do not like cabbage!!
