How does our garden grow?

Post by Rapunzel »

Have you ever wondered what Forum Garden actually looks like?

When you sit at your computer and chat to all your FG friends, do you ever actually 'picture' yourself sitting in the garden with a nice cold drink by your side? Or if someone talks about picking flowers in the garden or raking leaves ~ can you see it in your minds eye?

Or is it just me who thinks of weird stuff like this? :sneaky:

Tell us how you picture the garden here. Do you see acres of woodland or a small park or even just your own backgarden? Are there any particular flowers or trees you think would be here? Tell us in words or pictures how you imagine our garden to be, so that when you sit at your 'puter chatting you will be able to actually 'see' the beautiful FG garden as well as all the lovely folk who inhabit it!

I'd like to start with this beautiful wisteria tree. It's actually a pic that Minx took during her UK tour last year, but it's such a beautiful tree and it reminds me of her! :-6

Here is another beautiful tree, a cherry blossom tree which, not surprisingly, reminds me of our Pinky who has become such a well-loved personality in the garden. This photo was also pinched from our lovely Minksy's collection! :D

You are an awesome photographer, Minksy hunny! :-4

I think she'd be a Rowan tree - because she said she'd come to visit us again in the UK, by hook or by crook!

And if she can't afford the flight, well . . . . . I guess she'll be Rowan! :yh_rotfl .

I imagine it's like the Huntington Library Botanical gardens!

http://www.huntington.org/BotanicalDiv/ ... lHome.html

There are formal, informal, tropical, xeriscape, annual, perennial, rose and the world's largest desert garden, among many others. The Chinese and Japanese gardens are exquisite and the camellia gardens have been featured in many films.

I'm sure we can all find spots to sit and patches to weed! (Hopefully, troll detectors keep the bridges clear....);)

I've never imagined a real garden while chatting here. :-3 I've just always imagined the folks who I'm chatting with are doing the same thing I am. Sitting in front of the computer with 2 or windows open. One with FG and others open to surf other sites. But always up and down in front of their computer taking care duties round the house, refilling their drink, ect. Guess my imagination just isn't what it should be.

But Sheryl..the cool thing is we can imagine whatever we want the garden to look like..and no one will actually be wrong.

Like reading a book..everyone imagines the same story differently..but it is still the same story.
