Post by Rapunzel »

Buttercup sweetie,

please come back! There are lots of us who love and miss you!

I haven't been around for a while, I caught some nasty bug and have been feeling rotten. The bog hasn't known what's hit it! And it's wondering if it's my new best friend cos I visit it so often! Eww! hehehe

But I need to come back and support the Paul McKenna thread as I still read him every day and take him to bed with me every night! yum! lol!

Biggest of big huggggggggs to you my lovely, take time to relax and destress . . . it's helped me. Talk to you soon sweetie,

Mel. xxx

It certainly wasn't a comment that "flatters the poster" nor "adds value" to the thread was it BB.

And that is an opinion you are free to express. That makes this a great place.:D

And just for the record BB, it is in response to the whole tiresome (IMO) threads saying goodbye...

Ok, then how about mentioning that along with the comment, because I initially took it as directed at me sending my love. When I sat back and looked again i thought no, it probably is in regards to the whole thread.

It was 2 of us noticing the same thing, and maybe taking the comment as an un-necessary comment as it came off kind of kind of backhandedly. And yes an opinion and proof how things can be mis-interpreted. And I think a great example as to how things could turn out badly if it weren't ...I dunno discussed. No worries DG the comment could be taken a number of ways.

Moving on now.

Me too. And could you go to this thread:

This guy is asking for a Mom's point of view and I thought of you (being the mother of a 15 year old and all)? You might have some worthy advice for this kid.

Kinda like the one I quoted in the very first reply in this thread?

Sorry gang, but I gotta go with Peg here. An inability to either work out a problem or simply ignore it and move on and continue interacting with the people you do get along with shows me something. I'm not about to go out of my way to beg someone to stay who can't find a happy medium. As someone said, BC is a 40-something woman, capable of making her own decisions.

If I left every time someone disagreed with me, I'd have been gone LONG ago.

No offense to Butter, but this is another thread that needs to fade away.

You know, folks get tired of forums every day...and they stop posting every day. And people get p*ssed off at forums every day.

At first, I was a bit intimidated by this place, did not feel as if I belonged, and considered fading back into the woodwork. But I have hung it out and actually do not mind it here.

Do I agree with everything folks say here? NO! Do I let it get me angry? If it is an appropriate emotion, then yes. Am I going to leave because of it? Nope..You all are stuck with me..for a while anyway.

Somewhere, in another thread I read a comment about how we have become friends with people we may never have become friends with in real life. I agree. And it is not entirely due to our distance from each other.

It has alot to do with our personalities, interests, lifestyles. Here we are just our words...appearances, age, and the things I have just mentioned, do not always come into play.

Gee, Snooze, I am not usually called sensible. :p I hope I can live up to that reputation. :o

Betty was with me (well, not when I actually bought them because she would have consficated my credit card). And okay, the "brown" one is beige and it doesn't have any fringes but I'm happy! Sadly, Arnold and Uncle let me down badly, and I won't forget it in a hurry.

If you want to know about a person, check their profile. Check out the threads they post in, especially the kind of stuff they feel important enough to start a thread on. Of course, to know the real person, read several from different times, not just a couple from the same time frame.

Come on, Snooze, it's a well-worn technique, playing dumb this time round isn't very convincing.
