she referred to me as "the Dork" when talking to her family about me.

Hmmn, funny pet names aren't they? I used to call my scottish ex "ocky" cause she said "Och Aye" a lot, I had an English girlfriend who called me "Potato Man" which I am sure was something to go with being Irish, and wasn't a lewd reference to anything. I can't really remember many more, which probably shows they weren't great. I'm not the most romantic man in the world, but I do try. I dunno, its all part of the fun of relationships, init?
