Not to worry. I had my male and female stored in seperate boxes. When I saw this I ran to the garage and put them in the same box. Does anybody know how long it takes for the eggs to hatch?

There was an article in a Tampa newspaper a few yrs ago about a guy that kidnapped his neighbors pink flamingo and took it on vacation with him. The owner had no idea what was going on when she started recieving pictures of her flamingo at various locations around the country. A pic of the flamingo at a you are now entering Colorado sign etc. A few weeks later the flamingo was back in her yard. :wah: Good prank.

I have a pink flamingo shirt that's really nice and a little snow globe

with a pink flamingo in it... but no actual lawn "ornaments". My mom

used to have them back in the 60's. We didn't think much of them as

kids but it'd sure be fun to have them again.

They supposedly made some gold commemorative ones for next year!

In L.A. my home is one of those large mobile homes that looks like a house-4 bedrooms and all. My kids shuddered when I went out and got pink flamingos for the yard-ha! I have always loved them since I was a kid.

CLINT "Does anybody know how long it takes for the eggs to hatch?"

HAH...flamingos are "colony nesters," which means you need from 15-20 individuals before the females will nest. Better get busy snatchin' up neighbors' birds, if you want to try to help save the species! ;)

Sorry this is a hopelessly parochial question, but why would you put a pink plastic famingo on your lawn? I suppose its a bit like the garden knome thing we have here, oh well, different strokes.

Yup...garden gnomes, plastic flamingos, fake wells and wooden cut-outs of old women bending over (seen from the back.)

I don't know.

We shouldn't ask, I suppose.

Please don't be offended but before you call the cops consider that the flamingos might have departed on their own. :yh_idea

I'm thinking they could fly hobbled. I mean good grief, I think they'd learn how to get away from Gramma's watering habits.

You are talking serious money. A whole flight? They'd be real dumb to go on EBAY with them but it's worth a try. After all, the crook was dumb enough to walk on your grass.:wah:
