putting it off just doesn't pay

Post by minks »

Because I am a Taurus I justify my procrastination justly.

Anyone ever have an idea of something that would make their life just a bit easier and sit on the idea and stew about it for some time then kick their own a** when suddenly it appears on the market.

Way back when the "clapper" light came out I thought it a stupid idea. About 2 years later I thought wouldn't it be great to have a small electronic device one could attach to ones most common "looseables" keys, remote, now days, cell phone, small digital cameras etc. Something you could stick onto these items and with a quick clap it would detect the sound and send off a signal to you so you could follow it and find it. A kind of "homing" device. I sat on that idea for what seemed like a decade and was most disturbed to see it online about a year ago. Yep kick my a** hehehehe

But to justify that, I could never buy one, as I would clap and then 20 devices would signal me, cell, keys, remote, glasses, purse, bills, etc hehehe I would be a total confused mess hehehehehe

I've been sitting on a few inventions but I'm not telling you what they are because they haven't been done yet!

I was asked to join a procrastinator's club once and I kept meaning to go but...

So many people have been ripped off by people for their ideas and insight that it is not wise to let people know if you have invented anything unless they give you a certified cheque for umpteen thousand that ties them to secrecy. If they break it you ateleast have the money to go after them with a lawyer. :-6

Argh. Lawyers. I think you're better off with a connection to the mob. Or at least pretend you have one.

Wasn't it a mobster that got the rights to the 'zipper'?

I can see your point there. Can you not go to a patent office and register your ideas then you are protected?

Funny I am going to start up the pro-crastination club wanna be VP heh heh :D

One of my proverbs is: Never put off until tomorrow, what you can do the Day after that!!! (Talk about procrastination)

"Patents" are great for the first few weeks! Because if your invention has any merit & a chance for real success, today many of the major companies, including foreign ones will copy your invention. They just modify it ever so slightly, so as not to infringe on your patents rights! And they flood the market with your invention cheaper than you could produce it for. :-5

We just need to invent a way to keep inventions from being stolen. Then patent it. :D

You and 300 million North Americans are dreaming the same thing. Dreaming is the key word.

I am glad that we can dream and work towards actualising our dreams. I'll keep my dream of a world of peace and happiness as the dream that all the rip offs in the world can steal.

How many good lawyer jokes do we all know? Let me count the ways we want them all at the bottom of the ocean with concrete shoes.

What and flood the coastal areas. Lose the concrete.
