Heard a report yesterday about concerns over obesity in children and
how Girl Scout cookies were so bad because of the white flour, sugar,
etc. and the usual that we hear... and some are calling for the Girl
Scouts to think of something else to sell besides cookies. Of course
my husband the comedian thought of Girl Scout Broccoli... Nah, don't
think THAT would work! One item suggested yesterday was key chains...

If children were on "balanced" diets, and then had 2 cookies, there would not be so much obesity. People do not feed their children correctly.

A world without GIRL SCOUTS cookie is just not an option for me. Since there are nothing but FEMALES in my family.. I have been buying or selling GIRL SCOUTS cookies most of my life.. 
It's not the COOKIES making our kids over weight.. It bad eating habits.. and lack of exercise.
I grew up never having a potatoe chip, or soda.. parent just couldn't afford it.. We just didn't have any useless snack in the house. Ice cream every now and then was it. With the exception to GIRL SCOUT COOKIES..
SO WHAT IF THEY ARE MADE WITH FLOUR.. FLOUR IS A NATURAL PRODUCT, ALL THESE FAKES ARE FAR MORE DANGEROUS THAN NATURAL FLOUR AND SUGAR..IF YOU THINK DRINKING DIET ANY TYPE OF SODA IS GOOD FOR YOU THINK AGAIN.. YOUR BETTER OFF DRINKING THE REGULAR SODAS. :-5

oh for petes sake! I was a girl scout all the way to CADETS! (I won the top cookie sales girl award one year!)
If parents would send their kids outside to play, instead of sitting in front of video games, maybe kids wouldnt be so obese. You cant blame girlscout cookies for making kids fat. Too many other things contribute to that. Look at all the adults!

The girl scouts who sell the cookies don't have weight problems do they?
I was only ever a Brownie and the a Sea Cadet but even as a Brownie we were active, running around everywhere.
Youth organisations have been suffering for a while now, they can't compete with TV and video games, there's also the cost of sending children to them, but even that would help with obesity. Also a good few other things that are wrong with the youth of today.

No More Girl Scout cookies?
I have had to say no to Girl Scouts selling their cookies at K-mart. It seems like they could add something like sugar free or fat free cookies for dieters like me. I also felt sorry for the church group selling baked goods at Sam's club this weekend. I overheard them say that they weren't selling too much. If they would have had fruit or small veggie & dip trays, I might have bought one of those. :-6
