Nothing is going right here at all...I took my stuff upstairs and smelt summat a bit yukky which turned out to be a load of cat poo on the spare bed:yh_sick
So, I sort that out and go and get him some cat litter, as he's obviously not going outside anymore. Drive all the way there and back again, go to make a cup of tea and the bag split. Went to make another one only to find that was the last teabag:yh_angry

Back to earth with a bang? Never mind, its raining cats and dogs here and I'm waiting in Dublin airport for a delayed flight after driving hours through lochs with irrate truck drivers trying to kill everyone, its a rotten night. :-5

dont mention going out of windows to pinky:o
The thing is i'm an internet doctor, so its a bit different. Us internet doctors are a rare breed, we aren't afraid of danger, we take on the cases that other doctors are afraid to treat, we offer advice when all else fails, either that or I don't know what I'm doing, I have no sense of responsibility, and I'm making it up as I go along (perish the thought). No, I've changed my mind, LSD is a bit strong, perhaps some camomile tea would be better in your current (probably delicate) state. :-6

This makes me think of the blonde who tried ot commit suicide by jumping out the window. it was three feet off the ground. while she was getting her sprained ankle wrapped up in the er. the rest of the staff were outside laughing our asses off. no kidding.:wah:

hey hambo i watched a programme about dark energy , string theory and the 12 th dimention what do you think about that, and do you think time travel is possible and if it is why has no one travelled back and time and visited us

And yes I believe if we could raise our energy far enough we could feel the energy vibrations of the future..time is only percieved to be linear because we are chronologically aged beings observing it....

You read that Julian Barbour book didn't you? My head is still wrecked after that, time stuff does my head in, fun though!

If we raise our energy vibrations to that point it should be theoretically possible?
(I realise i am going off topic here but who cares!!)
goodnight i'll see you yesterday no i said that tomorrow
The main thing I've been able to deduce about time is that we still don't really have a clue what it is, other than its something we experience, it really is a very big mystery and probably one we will never get to grips with because we are not able to exist outside it as we are now, its extremely interesting, but its frustrating as there its very hard to really understand what it is or whats going on, still thats what lifes all about init?

I have had experiences wher time seemed to slow down and stop...and then when it went past at twice the speed....
If we can bend it this way then surely its just another step further???
er..innit??
Yes, but you can't measure perceptions, they are by their nature subjective, and thats the problem with time, its all very subjetive. There is no way to define time except by using something else like a ticking clock, or sesium atoms hopping up and down, but that doesn't tell you what time is, only how much of it appears to have passed relative to your observation of a clock, and all of that is dependent on your absolute velocity in space and the local gravity field you are experiencing. Even then you wouldn't be able to tell anything useful unless you had something else that was moving at a velocity different than your own and that you could compare yourself with. All of the implications of the difficulty in understanding time were made apparent as soon as relativity was established as a pretty solid fact, but its still hard to understand it, and it goes against all our common sense. The more you get into this stuff the harder it gets to understand it I think, we just don't have the ability to really grasp it I think. Oh now my head really hurts, I'm going, I promise! :wah:
