I admit to being worried about my sanity...

Post by cherandbuster »

I opened a package of dog treats yesterday morning and gave Buster one.

Last night I couldn't find the open package of treats. I immediately thought, "I threw it away by mistake, didn't I?"

I went through the trash (c'mon you've done it too!!) and found them at the bottom of the kitchen basket.

I have got into the car and driven off merrily, probably singing. Then found myself at work when I've meant to go to the shops, or vice versa... :D

As I said in another thread, I dreamed I was standing in line next to Jake Gyllanhaal at a buffet restaurant... Cher then asked me about the food:

Maybe you just need to grab someone and have sex

and then tell us about it :p

Has anyone else gone into the shower in reading glasses and wondering why the world is all misty suddenly??

I have done this many times. While doing carpentry work I have spent 10 min or more looking for my pencil and come to find out it was behind my ear.

Wanting to warm something up in the microwave and instead put it in the fridge. :-5 More than once I have run around the house trying to find my cup of coffee that I set down someplace. :o

I once drove right by the smaller town I live in. Got almost 20 miles past it and thought " why is it taking me so long to get home" then I came up on a roadside sign that said I was only 2 miles rom a town 20 miles away.:-2

I suffer OCD and in the past depression. This was very prevalent when I was young.

At age 14, I didn't know what was wrong with me, and thought I was mad, so tried to hide the symptoms from everyone - this was very tiring to say the least.

Now, nothing makes me think I'm going mad - because I know what signs to look for and tend to catch them before they escalate. I've been completely fluoxetine free for almost 4 years and can't see myself going backwards now...

I do wonder about a lot of people around me though...... :D

my advice for those who may think they're going bonkers is to talk openly to someone you trust about how you're feeling, no matter how weird it seems. Another viewpoint on the situation may be all you need, or perhaps just a bit more support?

Talk it out - that's what I'm saying, I guess!

Being insane is fun. Its also an excuse to get away with things you normally wouldnt.

My friend and I are going to the zoo this weekend, we are going to run out screaming, "run for your life, they're loose!!"

Think I'd get arressted?

How about putting a desk in a lift (elevator) and asking everyone who comes in "can I help you?"

I often point my car keys at some random door and press the central locking button to make them open? Did that yesterday. I know where I get it from though, when I was a baby, my mom left me on the supermarket checkout in Birmingham. She got home with the shopping and my dad said, erm wheres the baby? She had to run back across the city to get me, poor me :-1 , oh well musn't grumble. :wah:

Indeed pinky, my office 11 am. Oh dear, this reminds me of the girl who had the phobia about fridges and candelabras.
