I commuted to college in Boston, which means I missed out on a lot of the college fun that everyone else had.

I did, in England, it was a small little room in an apartment shared by 16 other students who each had a little room as well, on the 6th floor of a 10 storey building, it was great though, I had the time of my life!

I lived in one the first semester I was in college. It was extremely small. Two rooms with two girls each shared one tiny bathroom as well. That was what I hated most of all. That, and the limited closet/work space. I ended up moving out and living with friends

I married right after highschool, so I missed out on dorm life. I just got the wonderful expierence of a 40 mile commute to college.

Oh yeah
And did you have to leave extra early so you could get a parking spot?
I'd have to arrive at school by 6:45 a.m. for an 8:00 a.m. class . . .

Oh, I can relate to that for sure. After my second semester, i moved back home and started commuting 2 hours one way. I praised God when my degree was put online at my university. Since then, I've never attended another 'live' class

No, good ol' OPSU was small enough parking wasn't that bad. And after the first semester neither Dave or I scheduled 8 a.m. classes.

I went to San Diego State didn't need to live in the Dorm it was all of 5 miles away.
I have helped move my Niece who goes to Stanford into her dorm each year and they are very small. The first year she didn't even have a bathroom they had to all share one down the hall. Not fancy by any means but she loves it, and is having the time of her life.

Yes, I remember the rooms being rather small. Especially the doubles. I lived in a double my first year, and a single my second. Did not mind the single..it was enough room for me. I even had room to bring in a small bookshelf. But, also, I did not have alot of stuff either. A small radio with a cassette deck, and a small 12 inch television. This was before needing room for a computer and all that.
