Man Keeps Lover's Corpse 7 Years!

Post by RedGlitter »

Thsis story repels me every time yet intrigues me to no end. Here's a REAL scary story for Hallowe'en!

A doctor in 1930s Florida fell in love with a beautiful young tuberculosis patient. When she died he was so heartbroken that he smuggled her dead body out of its mausoleum and took it home where he lived with it, slept with it and ...um...had relations with it.

Oh god...I heard this story before, many years ago. It was on a TV show on Discovery channel (I think). Just about wierd, creepy things people have done for love.

I've only smelled a dead dog and I cannot begin to describe it as it was nothing like I had come across before. It was unforgettable and rank however.

But in the case of Elena, Von Cosel bought large quantities of perfumes and very fine silk. As her skin started to decay, he replaced it with the silk and wax and applied the perfume. Still though, I would imagine it was awful. But then as she mummified and then the gases left her, perhaps the smell was no more?

Any morticians in here??

Sorry if I grossed you guys out. :o

He had fitted Elena with a glass tube that would accommodate him.

Boggles the mind, doesn't it??

Cher, I have often wondered that myself. Certainly it was an obsession and one I would say was unhealthy at best but after reading the book and all I've seen about it, I can't (so far) say he didn't love her in his own unhealthy way. I mean I do think the guy was sick but not quite as much as your garden variety necrophiliac. Eww...did I just give him leeway? I wouldn't go that far I guess. After the authorities took her body away from him, he used a death mask he had made from her previously and made a type of mannequin to keep himself company. :lips:

I remeber watching a show on this. It's sad the family had to hide where they reburied her so he couldn't find her again.

Nomad, that's repulsive!!! My gosh, did you read how she actually made justifications for her actions?! There were some choice rank remarks and details in that horror piece!! I have read supposed accounts of necros before but not with quite as much "special detail" and such a lack of remorse or shame. I don't know how anyone could possibly even remotely entertain the idea of doing such a cretinous, decrepit act. That takes a special kind of sick. You're right, it is as fascinating as it is repugnant. I can't believe all states don't have laws against this. Gross!! Thanks for the link! I think...:-3 ;)

Snooze! I saw that too! You know...I'm convinced some people's mamas' eggs go bad in the sun or something because I just can't come up with any other explanation. And jeepers- some of those stiffs were *autopsied!* UGH!

But you know what? The craziest thing about this article is that this sick excuse for a woman makes it clear that even necros have "standards!" Good GRIEF!

This is why I opted for Cremation. :lips: Leave nothing to chance on this turn me to dust immediately.

She actually looks pretty good for being dead 7 years.... I didn't say that did I..:yh_sick At the right tempratures you can turn the dead in to mummys..!!

They just found a guy in Austria who had been dead 8 years no one ever thought about checking in on him since his rent and retirement check all were direct deposit and he received like if any mail... The temp in the apartment was perfect for mummification (sp).
ALOHA!!
