I think those 2 particular indivudals are just being tasteless, juvenile, and cruel, this has always been the humour of immature and inadequate men through the ages. Sad.

I couldn't see the Irwin thing but I can imagine he's got a rubber stingray sticking out of him. Am I close?
The plane thing...what's the point? Then again, I've never been much for ghoulish or gory hallowe'en effects. It's a day of celebration for me and I much prefer witches and ghosts over ugly stuff.

Oh don't get me wrong, a little bit of juvenile humour is great, and tastlessness is also great in small doses, but I think that the Guy who was making fun of someone who just recently died tragically is just not funny and well, insulting and cruel. I wonder would he have that stupid smirk on his face if he bumped into steve irwins wife if he was dressed like that? Maybe next time he will dress up like a kidnalling victim who has been beheaded by terroirsts, he certainly seems insenstive enough. The plane crash one is just plain stupid and dangerous, people could panic or at least get distracted seeing that and crash their cars thinking it was real. I would suspect that given recent history most people in the states wouldn't think making a novelty decoration for your garden to look like a plane crash was very clever. It certainly took a lot of work, whether that makes it even more stupid is another question.

Okay I saw it.
Is that really Bill Maher? I am surprised he would sport something so tasteless. I wish I knew the context that was in because it's really unclassy.

I agree with all you said, Galbally. I was likening it (Bill Maher as Steve) in my mind to someone dressing as Nicole Simpson...classless! But dressing like OJ Simpson, with a fake bloody glove might be seen as funny over here as most Americans hate that guy and believe he killed Nicole and that's our way of showing what we think about it...sick humor I guess. But whether anyone likes Steve or not, I don't see any humor in that get-up.

I think to put it in context with the OJ Simpson thing its equivalent to dressing up, not as OJ, but as Nicole Simpson with a knife stuck in her covered in blood and expecting people to see the funny side of being a murder victim. Whoever this guy is, this was a stupid and cruel stunt, and Maher is an Irish name as well, typical.

Agreed!
I'm just really surprised at Maher for this. I don't always agree withhis politics but he's real big on animal wellbeing and that's why I had so much respect for him. But this tends to make me lose a little bit of that. Reeeeeaaly tacky!!
