Spring cleaning!

Post by Raven »

Taking down the curtains for a wash, scrubbing every nook and cranny, blowing out the cobwebs, and opening windows to air out the place.

Anyone else do this besides me? Getting ready to hand wash all my lacy doilies now. It's kind of nice this year. Not so much of a chore. :-6

Still recently moved in, so things are ongoing from there... Everytime I think I have got somewhere though the workmen come in and make more mess.

With both of us working, it was hard keeping up with all the stuff that needed to be done. But with me taking this week off, I can get it done without my hubby getting under my feet.

Do you find men always think they are helpping when in reality all they are doing is getting in the way ???

The flopmate is great at this, he just asked if I wanted him to bring my clean, dry washing through from the clothes horse... I had to tell him not to touch it, as all he will do is put more creases into it all.

Mine just gets under my feet. He actually does a pretty good job as far as chores. But there are certain things I cant let him do! :wah: Like laundry! He was so proud of himself once, when he hand washed a shirt of mine. I broke out in a really bad rash after wearing it. Come to find out, he didnt rinse it!

well at the moment, we're having a lot of work done in our house. At the moment I have no kitchen, bathroom only installed today (had to run up the street to the in laws for a shower today!), no bathroom door on, no couch and a skip on my drive. So we're going to London this Easter weekend to get away from it all whilst all the plastering is being done (which by the way includes every room in the house). So I think I'm gonna give the spring clean a miss because a) I have no furniture to clean and b) there's way too much dust and its driving me insane. :yh_tired

Another forum? nah....this ones good. I've been doing good getting anything done at all, while happily discussing a little bit of everything with everybody here all day! (LOL! I think that was just a run on!) No wonder I'm out of breath! :yh_laugh

What is it about spring that lights a fire under my butt? I can build a pile of junk every spring of stuff I've accumulated, thinking, "WHY did I need this??" It's not spring yet, in fact it's snowing today, but when it gets here, I'll definitely "clean house." As for the men getting underfoot? Hell yes. Matt has wonderful intentions and truly wants to help, but I can't forget the time he decided he would mop the kitchen for me, and used bleach and dish soap. Of course, the first person to walk on the floor left black boot prints all over it from all the soap left on the floor. Darlin' I love you....but stick to cooking!
[FONT=Arial Black]I hope you cherish this sweet way of life, and I hope you know that it comes with a price.
