My son is coming to visit me on Friday! He flies in Friday night to stay for a week with us, I haven't seen him for 2 years!:-4

I go down to Williamsburg that morning to blab at a conference-I didn't realize how far it was, I just mapquested it. It is 190 miles, one way! Pump me up guys, I have to talk at 8, be there by 7:15-7:30. I am guessing, I must leave the house at 3 am, dressed in my suit, to get on the road. After my panel is over, I will have to drive home, to beat the DC traffic. I will look crummy when I pick my son up that night at the airport, I will be tired! I think I am scared of the driving distance, I have never done a 400 mile round trip before. :-3

Just take your time and don't push yourself. A 400 mile round trip in one day is quite a lot so make sure you stop regularly for a coffee or energy drink and something to eat. If I have to drive any distance I make sure I have plenty of music in the car and something high in sugar to snack on!

Good luck and hope your son's visit goes well.

oh, what an exciting day for you!!

try not to worry too much...it'll be a great day for you! :-6

PS bring snacks and drinks for the drive...it helps if you start to feel bored or tired. :)

Also, would it help to bring a change of clothes for the drive home??

Best wishes friday!!!

Here is my son, Angel. He is with a Laker star, his momma raised him right!:wah:

He is 32, and single-all you lovely single FG girls!

I always used to visit every summer, but could not go for 2 years. He called me up, and asked me, "Mom, aren't you coming to see me this year?" Oh, momma felt sad, but explained I couldn't with nursing duties. So he said he would come to see us, and his brother and sister are so excited, but not as much as me!:-4

Oh the big day is finally approaching for you Chonsi, I'm so happy for you, as I know you have been waiting for this for a long time. About your long road trip, I think everyones ideas are good, just make sure you leave plenty early to give yourself enough time to take a break when you need one.

I'm sure you are gong to have one brilliant time with your son, just make sure to tell us all about it!! :)
