Well I trotted off to the blood bank yesterday morning...

Came home with my FIVE GALLON pin in my hot little hand!!

The cookies weren't very impressive, though!

Yes indeedy! The very minute I can donate again, I start getting the

calls!! :wah: Last week, they left a message about how urgently they

needed it! I've told them I look at the online schedule but I guess they

really want to get me in...

I'm also CMV negative, so my blood can go to preemies or immuno-

suppressed people.

The pin is cute "gold" with little "ruby" drops on it... took a lot of

years to get it. (I give usually between 4-6 pints per year)

I wish I could find out how many pints lifetime I've given and/or

that this bank would credit me for them!

Thought of Chons yesterday, it was at a local church and all the

choir came in in their robes... pretty neat.

Well done Val, that is something to be very proud of.

I can't give blood 'cos I had a transfusion once and the new rules say that they won't take it 'cos of the risk of passing on mad cow disease - well I know I'm a mad cow but I didn't know it was contagious!

I've given blood a few times, but the last time, my body went into shock and I ended up unconscious on the table. I haven't been since 'cus I'm a bit of a sissy I guess:o
