it's a classic of course, and like most may not smell the same on each different person. but there's a reason it's been around since the 40's i think.

My fave is karmala from Avon's Mark line. But I recently discovered Giovanni Versace's Bright Crystal and it smells wonderful!

I have a really hard time stomaching any fragrance........especially on my body. I usually go for a very mild vanilla lotion mixed with baby oil so I don't use much.

I had to get BTS to really tone down the aftershave.

I cannot walk down the cleaning isle at a grocery store. I have to get my hubby to do it. Don't even talk to me about a Macy or Sears store...........NO WAY going through the perfume section.

very soon Christmas gift packages will start to appear in the better stores...wait for them, they are always excellent buys that include body cream and powder etc. with the perfume. for example, my shalimar is $100. per ounce, but i wait for Christmastime and get the cream and powder at the same price. ....another comment...buy the real deal, not the eau de toilettes or even cologne. and USE your perfume, don't 'save' it. it will change over time.

My MIL (last of the big spenders! ) gave me a bottle of chanel no. 5 eau de parfum which had turned from gold to GREEN in colour! But although it looked 'off' it still smelt nice from the outside, so I left it in my undies drawer & now have perfumed undies! hehehe  :)

I like Opium, Theirry Mulger's Angel, Jean Paul Gaultier (the bottle that is shaped like a woman's body), Oscar de la Renta (my Mom always wore it so it makes me smile).

I also love to wear my husband's Polo and Drakkar Noir. :-4

Poison can be a bit overpowering. A woman I knew years ago used to put so much on it used to make me feel sick. Before that I'd always liked trace amounts of it.

A friend of mine has worn a musk perfume that I like for the 23 years I've known her. Not sure who makes it but it's one of my faves. I like most perfume really. It's funny how certain smells become synonymous with certain people though.

I love perfumes, I have a lot of empty bottles in my bathroom, so to remember the name.

Now I use Eclipse.

I have a new bottle of J'adore.

I loved Angel, First (Van Cleef & Arpel), Gloria Vanderbilt, Valentino, Chanel and so many others..

If I remember well, there was a stylist - Mme Chanel, I believe, - that used to say:

have you tried avon.com?? I've ordered stuff from them online. :-6

I mostly wear body sprays, I like the ones by Calgon. Morning Glory is my favorite.

As for perfumes I like Glo by J.Lo and Romance by Ralph Lauren.

I can't wear strong scents, they give me a headache. :yh_silly

Why "girls"? I use them too. I spent years splashing No. 4711 Eau de Cologne on as aftershave. These days I seem to have settled on a Norfolk Lavender Water, since one of my lads decided it destroyed less of his credibility in the playground if his dad was a bit less nance.
