Who belives that there are parallel universes and that wormholes open up and can transport any thing to the corrsponding universe also there could be many universes that are all linked by wormholes and time portals.

The first is fine so long as matter and energy can't bleed across the boundary, the rest break causality, entropy, all sorts of rules of the road.

Ballancing thats what its all about its all gonna equal out nomatter what laws of nature and chemistry if it can it will balance so that means that what ever mass is pulled out of the worm hole is gonna get sucked in beacuse it must be equal on both sides of the portal and also beacuse both sides will be esactly the same in size and mass amounts then it will only equalize at time of the opening

When i say balance it means a balence of matter like dust, air, water, chemicals, and such not just economic trade like money and products although that can also happen but as long as the mass is kept close within a few million units (just a guess im not a physicist but there's a trillion million units out in the universe) the balance should be fine; also any thing transfered would probably be replaced by another matter like air or energy according to the laws of conservation and nature plus the third law of newton is for every action thre is an equal and opposite raction this can also be used as it is an action to carry some thing into the other universe some thing will abviously come back.

As for swapping material when your proposed transfer occurs, either it's a strange two-way wormhole with remarkable mirror properties or you're looking for a shockingly large coincidence.

I can't talk technically about parallel universes but I do feel that it would be as easy as blinking to slip into another universe if we believed we could.

I beleive there is no end to space, which to me explains the presence of time, therefore no one is able to time warp. If Time warp is what you mean.

I totally believe in parallel universes. There's just WAY too much that we don't know about our universe to make me think this is not a possibility.
As an aside: If you want to read a fantastic book that relates to parallel universes in a strictly sci-fi genre, read "The Talisman" co-written by Stephen King and Peter Straub.

Ah, but it would only be time-warp if the time around you stopped as well as your own acknowledgment.

We have barely scratched the surface in space science. The correct answer is any answer is theory.

Nomad wrote: We have barely scratched the surface in space science. The correct answer is any answer is theory.I so don't like that word "theory" - it carries connotations of "insubstantial". Everything in science is descriptive and predictive, nothing in science is explanatory. If you find an explanation in science, it's an analogy, not a reality.
People can certainly live their lives assuming that the many-universe analogy of time is meaningful. I think if they do that, they have different reasons underlying their behaviour. They act in a way that they'd not act if they adopted a different view of nature. I quite like some of the changes that happen to the way people behave when they think that way. It's an interpretation, not reality. It's predictive, it's possibly even experimental (who knows?) but if it has an effect on how people act then it's a useable philosophy. How powerful it becomes depends on what you do with it.

Parallel Universe
Time is intrinsically linked with the three spatial dimensions. Parallel universes may exist, but they would not necessarily be remotely similar to our own. This includes the arrangement of the dimensions as we know them, of which, time is the fourth dimension.
Parallel Universe
The only way to know the answer is to know if there is an end to space, If there is then everything would be able to be understood, if there isnt, then it would take an eternity to figure it out, and even then it wont be put in any form because you would have not reached the end.
My opinion.

I think therefore I am. I think that is the bottom line, the essence of life if you like IE the essence of life is non physical coz thoughts are non physical. as I understand it a parallel universe is happening right here now in the same space we occupy, we are just unable to perceive It. If we could alter our levels of consciousness then maybe we could perceive it. There are quite a lot of people who claim to be able to do this, I have met a few. They seemed very nice people, quite sane. What I am saying is that this may be about inner space & not outer space. It may also be about mushrooms.
Parallel Universe
I think that parralel universes are certainly a possibility, as physics doesn't rule them out, and in some interpretations of Quantum Mehcanics actually rules them in, specifically in Feynmans "Sum over histories" hypothesis, its a intrigiunging idea, though the idea of accessing them or moving between them is way beyond anything we understand at the minute, considering we don't even know they exist is one problem. What any of that means for us personally I have no idea, though I love speculating on such things like everyone else. Unlike Pinky I would like to think there is a Galbally somewhere married to a jolly redhead and is busy bringing up 9 children, wishing he was single again. :wah:

I think in the sum over histories interpretation of QM there are an infinite number of universes, and conseuqntly theyre would be an infinite number of arnolds living an infinte number of different lives, one is probably Lord Arnold, then there would be miss arnold, captain Arnold, arnold the stoat, arnold the U.S. President, Arnold the King of Sweden (rulers of the that world), an 800 foot high arnold, a silicon arnold, arnold the living asteroid, arnold the box factory manager, arnold the centre forward for Chelsea, in fact any concociveable life and form of arnold would exist as far as I am aware. What do you think about that, its makes yours and the anti-arnolds's little adventures seem quite quaint really.

There is another thread on this board relating to lucid dreaming. maybe it is possible that when a person has a lucid dream or in fact any dream they are accessing a parallel universe. A dream of any type is in fact an altered state of consciousness. maybe science does not have the answer here. The essence of life is our ability to think & it is our minds which will transport us to a parallel universe & not a Time Machine. What is physical to us may me non physical to "others" & vice versa

I hate to tell you this but if the "sum over histories" hypothesis is true then there would be an infinite number of miss arnolds, as the statisitcal possibility that the chromosone for maleness would be passed on to any indivudal at conception is 50 percent, and so 50 percent of the time you get a girl instead. Now 50 percent of infinity is still infinity (infinity is annoying like that), so I'm afraid there would be an infinite number of female versions of you, and an infinite number of female versions of me also, and every other possible way in which our DNA could be sequenced to produce something alive, (as of course the probability of any outcome is 1, when you have an infinite number of times to attempt it). Thats also built into Quantum Mechanics, which is probably why many scientists get headaches just thinking about these things. Einstein had a fit when he tried to get his head around it apparently, and never seems to have come to terms with it, though his insights were what lead to the theory (which BTW is the most succesful and accurate scientific theory ever when it comes to measureable evidence). The good news is that the "sum over histories" interpretation is only a hypothesis, and is not proven, though many physicists believe that it may be a true reflection of reality, me, i choose not to think about it too much as I need to sleep peacefully! :wah:
