Behind Me

I am brave but being stranded way out here, I feel the sensation of fright

Out here in the middle of no where all alone

Darkness falls! Thank God! There is a full moon to give light to the darkness of the night

Being out here like this chills me to the very bone.



It is so dark and black, as now I am in the wilderness

All these sticks, bushes, and trees

So scary, so black. I am totally engulfed by the darkness

As I am in this intense place of fear, I just want to flee.



I try to walk faster as I think something is following me

Now I try to run as I realize they are coming to get me

I think I hear something but it is so dark I just can't see

What to do? My choices are limited and few.



I come to a field, where the moonlight is no longer hidden by the trees

I am running as I am sure I still hear something behind me

My shaking hands, I look down and don't believe what I see

It's like the hair on my hands is wildly growing, see.



Turning I look up at the brightness of the full moon

Behind me I think I see an image of a man

I can't believe I am on all fours howling at the moon
