Once I read a really interesting thing somewhere about creative attraction. It went something like this....there is something about a person who is creative and always in a creative frame of mind that is sexually attractive to others. I with I could find this piece of writing again and place it here. It was so interesting and I've never forgotten it. It talked about the creative energy that is generated by these kinds of people that others find totally attractive.

I wish I could be this way, sometimes I think I am, when I am doing a lot of my art, and sketching. But for me, it's difficult to stay in that frame of mind.

There is a girl who I've seen in 2 of my graphic design classes. She is very young, about 20. And she is half Columbian and half Russian. She has a very Russian look about her, but when she speaks, she speaks in a very Columbian accent. And she is like sooooo good at her art. She just blows everyone away, even the guys in the graphic design who are good are intimidated by her art when we do our critiques. She is so shy too. I think she has that creative spark that I read about. Every time I see her I am almost in awe of her. And I wonder if others see it.

This can turn out to be a fantastic thread if you are saying she turns you on ("creative attraction").

No, not that way. But if I were a man.......:(

And once this last summer I was walking on the pier with some of my friends and she was walking toward us, all by herself. I said hi to her, and wondered why she was alone. She looked totally comfortable like that. And I felt like her. As I go places alone a lot, but not to the beach. Especially during the surf championshipss.

I wouldn't call it a crush. I am just in awe of her creative talent, like others.

Yes, Henry Miller, the writer, was hardly brad pitt, but he was married to Marlyn Monroe, Picasso wasn't much to look at, but he got a lot of action, and as for Ringo Starr, well what can you say?

hmmm depends how you define beauty, i like out of the ordinary looking people but will always be attracted to how a persons mind works first, the ugliest man in the world will look like the most beautiful to me if he touches my soul with his words

I agree about Ringo Starr though.

Sorry, sorry, I always mix them up, yes it was Arthur not Henry and he was not very physically attractive, but lots of women still thought he was dead sexy, and you have proven the point of the thread! I think as a general rule though men get away with not having to be good looking but still be considered sexy more than women do, as they are physically objectified by us men unfortunatly, sorry. Though I have to say I find reasonably physically attractive, but clever and interesting women infinietly more sexy than incredibly beautiful numbskulls, like most intelligent men, though I certainly can be strongly affected by a stunning looking woman without having the slightest idea of what she is like as a person, but only until for a while until my brain kicks in again, its genetic I suppose. Then there are some highly intelligent men and women who have difficulty being taken seriously becuase they are physically very attractive as well, poor them. :wah:

Yeah, I think that was the idea in what I read. And not only that, but that they are always creating. Their minds are always thinking about their next creative conquest or idea, and making ideas happen that they think up.

as for me, I am always happiest when I am doing things, or making stuff out of nothing.

As for people who are not so "good-looking", well, I think that the creative process can do wonders for a persons charisma.

And that guy who Marilyn Monroe was married to, I bet she though he was a stud. Wasn't he a baseball player. He wasn't all that bad.:guitarist

Hmmn, I never though about it like that, but thats very complimentary of you. I don't mind talking about the music thing, but no I guess I don't go into it very much, its not a thought out thing really. And I would never confuse you or guppy, though you are both quite charming I must admit, anyway, you have your special tatoo (no one could forget that, and I mean that in the best possible way).

I love watching someone in a creative moment. There is always something really profound about it. Like they are more here, or more real than the world around them because they're entire being is focused to one point.

I think it's very sexy.
