what!!!!

are you jesting...

Norris beat bruce..

shame on you now go wash your mouth out with soap

The GRACIE bothers are serious stuff and they would beat him with the flick of an eyelash

Rickson & Rorion Gracie would mess him up! As would Al Dacascos, Dan Inosanto, Vic & Paul de Thouars, Tony Felix,

Well I do remember seeing Ken Shamrock fight Hoyce Gracy in the UFC, and he beat him...and seeing that BAS RUTTEN has only lossed four fights in his career two of them were against Ken Shamrock, and one was against Frank Shamrock, I have to say that Ken Shamrock was a bad motherfer.

I know hes probably a little too old now, but he held his own weight in the UFC.

I don't know very many people that would go toe to toe with Ken Shamrock...

my friend you are quite right bas did lose twice to ken to leg locks but at the time bas was a stand up fighter only , when he learned the ground game ken conceeded bas would beat him , every who knows anything about mixed martial arts knows that fedor from the pride fighting championships of japan is reckoned to be the best there ever was , chuck is a stand up fighter if you dont know a ground game you dont last long in thecage :(

Yeah I agree about the variety of fighters and finding it difficult to counter people who has a different style than that of your own...

I would like to add though, that Hoyce Gracy was one of the best submission fighters to ever walk in the octagon, and Ken Shamrock nudged out a win against him...

Your right though, Ken Shamrock was more of an "in your face" type of fighter...

You can see the various styles being used in the octagon today...I suppose I would leave up which style those as the viewer like to perceive as the best.

have seen a good few of the cage fights from the old days..(couple of years ago) and then watched some recent stuff...

talk about different..weight cats one or two fights in a night..

The ones from before were 20 stone 6;5 men against 12 stone 5;6 men and they would fight until one was left..

oh and whats allowed in the ring..the old stuff was brutal..the heads really took it elbows nuts etc many a heamotoma

now its so regulated, good for the risk factor l suppose but its taken the realism out of it l think..
