Gale force winds and rain like stair rods....very unpleasant.

They've had a mini-tornado in London

It was 5 below zero yesterday. 36 today and I passed a mile stretch of grass fires off the freeway today.

Minnesota is supposed to be a winter wonderland.....brush fires in December ?

The Met office have got a new website, it looks good. You can get bring up the rain radar, and infrared satellite imagery, like they do on TV!

It could be useful for anyone planning a day out, and it's not just the UK, there's links to World weather sites too!

There's a severe weather warning for the UK, for Sun/Mon. My village is at the bottom of a valley, the river always floods, I'm diggin me Wellie boots out!:(

Well it's dawn here and the sky is pink...not specatular but not grey like previous days. It is freezing though and last night the gritting lorries were out.

Rain is forecast later and VERY heavy rain forecast for tomorrow.

The met office site is really good Dubs. I use the BBC one...I imagine it's linked to the met office.

It's RAINING! And it's raining HARD! And I just had a new roof put on my house and my garage.....now, we SNEER at the rain! Muuuuuuaaaahahahahahaha!

Seriously, how wonderfully refreshing it is to smell that clean rain....it's the first in a long time and I'm glad it happened on a Saturday night, rather than a Monday morning!

Awhile back, I heard something about forecasts of another El Nino year. Anyone heard anything about this?

I guess the stormy weather will reach us later. Hopefully I'll be snuggled up with a glass of wine by the time it gets here....we had a power cut last Sunday....best get the candles out just in case.
