Imagine if we had to ride horses to get to work?

What would the parking lot look like?

After a certain number of days of going to the same place at the same time over and over you could just get on the horse, go back to sleep and say. "Work". Then wake up when the horse got you there.

I'd like that.

I get up and get myself a diet cola, come here and check my email.

I may be up early but I'm not officially "up" until about noon. :)

Replace the cola with a coffee and that's me too. I function in the morning but I'm still sleeping.

Hit snooze, think of excuses for 'pulling a sickie' whilst cuddling up to partner & duvet, then alarm goes again, swing legs out & sit on edge of bed in a complete daze for 10 mins or so, that usually renders me last in line for the bathroom  wander downstairs still in a daze, if anyone talks to me at this point i have absolutely no idea what they are going on about, coffee & 2 ciggies, watch a bit news, shower then im what i class 'awake'

I can beat that, I hit Snooze at least three times ;)

I'm not officially awake until after the school run, on weekends you're lucky to see me 'up' before 9am!

You forgot to have breakfast.

Another good reason to have breakfast. Have a nip of orange juice, and a

lrage cup of coffee, too. You shouldn't drive whilst half asleep.

Bleargh. First thing in the morning! I've never been able to do that, or drink,

either, except when on a real bender. If you must smoke, try to leave at least

11 hours smoking-free per day, preferably more. Not *too* hard, and does

have benefits.

Consider getting an electric engine-warmer. It'll use less energy, and won't

knacker your engine like warming it up for 10 minutes will!

Nice, we've got the breakfast watch people out.

I almost never eat breakfast.

I used to get up about 5:30 am every day but after I had a back injury I've never got the early morning thing back on track. I did notice though that I still don't wake up until 11am whether I get up at 5 or 10.

You should go to bed earlier if you find it hard to get up in the morning. Then

you can have a really nice and relaxed breakfast.

What! Try a nice mug of cocoa, you may find, given time, that it affords as much

enjoyment as illegal drugs, and is healthier, and very unlikely to get you arrested.

Get up at 6:30

Wake the first kid up at 6:35

Pack 2 lunches

wake kid up again to take shower

feed 5 hungry animals (1 cat usually biting my foot while I'm making lunches)

7am, wake up 2nd kid, get the 1st kid out the door

meanwhile doing laundry and usually checking email in between

7:05 2nd kid runs out the door (sometimes screaming at me, cause I didn't wake him up on time, and friend is waiting in driveway to drive him to school).

7:20 take shower, get dressed

7:40 wake kid 3 up and argue with him that he's not taking the "day off from school"

8:00 walk out the door, usually with kid 3 mad at me cause I make him wear a coat.

8:05 out driveway to go to work...about 10 am I wake up!!

Yes, this was the condensed version... your mornings sound alot like mine.....esp the shower line..........:)

If I had three kids I'd probably wake the first one up and tell them to get everyone else ready.

If I'd raised the kids right. The first kid would wake the second kid up and tell them to get the other one ready.

The second kid would wake the third kid and tell them to feed all the pets.

I'd sit there and have my coffee.

5:45-Alarm #1 goes off. I reach over and turn it off, go back to sleep.

5:50-Alarm #2 goes off. I slide out of bed and turn it off, go back to sleep

5:55-Alarm #3 goes off. Its my stereo at full volume. LOUD!!! I leap out of bed, scramble across the room, turn it off. Can't go back to sleep.

6:00-Feel around in the dark for TV remote. Find It. Flip through the Morning News stations

6:20-Remember I have a job to go to. Turn TV off get in shower.

6:30-Get dressed.

6:35 to 645-Feed my dogs, eat some cereal, and trudge off to work.
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.
