Eh, or is that Rocky VI? ;) Which ever way it's spelled (spelled??) anyone going to see it?

I have to admit, I will. I'm a sucker for Rocky (and Sly... ooo Baby!) Ok, so he's 60. So What? Sly is still hot.

I'll see it. I've always liked the Rocky movies. 1 more can't hurt
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

I won't go to the theater... too expensive and not usually a good experience

any more because of the people... watch it at home on the big screen.

Syl (why do they always flip those letters around? :wah: ) is gorgeous still,

as my dear aunt used to say... I wouldn't kick him outta bed fer eatin'

crackers!

Early buzz I've heard is that it is surprisingly good.

Well, I'm glad to hear there are others who are interested in this. I just love this story. I love Rocky. How he learned to read. His love for a plain Jane girl. How he pursued her. His never say die attitude in the ring. Loyal. And I always loved how he worked out as compared with his apponents. Especially in Russia. The guy had state of the art machines and drugs, and Rocky did it all naturally. Chopping wood, running, utilizing all the stuff in the barn. Down to earth. Even when Tommy Morrison's character turned his back on him, Rocky stayed true to himself. LOVE that!

It's been a long time since Rocky 5.

Remember the first one? People actually STOOD UP IN THE THEATER and cheered when he won!

What a classical mythic tale this is....no wonder everyone likes it!

Selective memory on my part, I guess. Sigh.

Hubby and I had a Rocky weekend recently. VERY fun. We made popcorn. Just sat all weekend and got caught up on the Rocky Story.

Carl Weathers.... Ooo, Baby! James Brown singing Living in America. I always get up and dance to that. Owwwww! You go James :)

Hubby and I went tonight. We loved it. I love how Sly incorporated all the other 5 into this one. Complete with Cuff and Link and all the old stomping grounds along with the emotions they inspired.

Loved it!
