Access is denied ???

Post by persephone »

I need help.

Nokia PC Suite is stuck on my laptop, I've tried everything, and nothing works.

I get this error number 0x80040707.

Done a Google on it and nothing is wrong with the paths.

I had installed the programme on a different User ID which, has since been deleted and creating a new one with the same name isn't working.

I also can't install another PC Suite until this one has been removed.

Any ideas anyone?

Hi Letha.

Would you mind posting your entire message? It might tell me more and I can help you from there.

There isn't much of a message, as the attachments show, that's it

The error is first, click okay and get the denied message.

Hmm...I'm not sure what your problem could be. I'm thinking there is a corrupted file somewhere within your Windows directory.

Do you have your Windows XP install disk? If so, you can put it in your drive, then go to Start->Run and type (without the quotes) "sfc /scannow". This will reinstall any corrupted core system files.

Worth a shot.
