another day
hope this is a good health and happiness day for you, good morning. this is day five after a stroke (or bells palsy) m.d.'s still haven't made a definitive diagnosis. paralysis on the right side of the face still the most uncomfortable symptom, causing a change in the way i eat and drink (drinking only through a straw), plus the problem with the slurrred speech (but, even on the computer?). was able to go out a bit yesterday morning (fed and played with my youngest daughter/son-in-law's cats while they're in NYC) and picked out a christmas present for one of my granddaughters; but, got real tired an worn down by 11-am. don't know if it's the illness or the meds they prescribed. also, stopped at three post offices and didn't find any missing children notices displayed. looking at yesterdays post i didn't get any replies back about missing person notices in post offices. come on people let's get behind this one, everyone other than those who prey on children agree something needs to be done about the missing person disaster occurring globally and if we can start by fixing this first thing (the U.S. "Child Alert Program") maybe that will be the beginning to fixing all the other fed funded national missing person laws and programs so they function at the level of efficiency they were originally intended. while traveling through nine states over the last twelve years i've stopped in over 2,000 post offices and only found five with any display of NCMEC printed Postal Bulletins (or any kind of missing person flyers for that matter - less than 1%). the Child Alert Program (managed by the NCMEC, dept. of justice, u.s. postal service, and congressional caucus on missing and exploited children - and they've all be contacted by the charity i volunteer for about the fact that their program is not functioning as instructed and intended). we leave a 3-ring binder with sheet protectors displaying over 200 missing person notices in every post office we go into (and we go back at least once a year to update the flyers and replace any of the binders that are missing - some station masters have told us they've been instructed by their distrit post master to remove them from the lobby when we leave them there, figure that one out). anyway, help us out, please, go into any post office you pass and see if they have any notices posted, help us expand our research territory, we've covered certain routes in CA, OR, WA, HI, AZ, NV, NY, UT, & ID (and NOMAD sent us a message the post office in the town he lives {in TX} does have some old ones displayed - so technically thats six out of over 2,000 post offices). enough of this for today, time for my meds, enjoy the everyday miracles of nature.

my mistake, another senior moment, it was accountable that sent me the reply about missing children notices (oops there goes the happy thoughts only rule) in a post office. back to the yellow submarine, the suns shining and i found out grandchild number three is on the way, my youngest daughter made the announcement by hanging a peanut size stocking by the chimney with care.

People are always UP to no good. Are they ever DOWN to no good? Maybe below the equator? What do you think, Aussie?
