What is the point of science?

As we all know that the Bible is the literal view of God who created the earth over 6,000 years ago. Why do we still have a need for Science? I mean they take religion from our children and turn them into pagans, and have done nothing good for society. Discuss.

Probably because some of us are somewhat rational and would prefer a less ridiculous answer to why the world is as it is, also it would be nice if you would bugger off back to your own forum and annoy other people with your innate stupidity somewhere else, good day.
